Ktec are terrible. RS tuning do any mapping worth having remotely there, the Ktec guy is useless and will map a car even with faulty sensors.

They also supply parts like the fuel rail that needs part of the head cut out to install and swirl pot kits with incorrect hoses that leak and make the car stink of fuel. Poor design solutions from Ktec, steer clear where possible.
You have direct experience of all this do you? And the tech knowledge to assess companies mapping capabilities? Amazing.

I do yes. They will tell you that RS Tuning do live mapping for them although they do have a guy that maps in house that mapped a friends car even though it had a faulty maf sensor which resulted in a knackered engine. He now sends his car to Leeds which is 4.5hrs away rather than go back to Ktec which are only an hour away.

Hi guys, iam a R26 owner and wonder if any of the guys on here could help me out with a couple of issues.

After ive driven the car for a bit,it really struggles to restart, and then when it does, the accelerator pedal doesnt work! I have to restart the car numerous times to get the pedal working again.

My other problem is that 'check injectors' shows up on the dash and the car is in limp mode - doesnt rev over 2500 rpm!

Are these two problems linked?

Its going in the garage next week but just wondered if anyone has had this before...

I can't help with that one as it's not something I've ever experienced before. Which garage are you taking it to? I can recommend Midlands Renault Specialists in Cresswell. Great service and knows these cars well.

I spoke to Mark Fish motorsport the other day, R26 / R injectors / throttle bodies came up in conversation regarding faults / issues, it wouldn’t surprise me if the the pedal / throttle potentiometer was linked to the ECU picking up on an injector fault

Not being local to Ren-Tec im looking for an alternative Renault Specialist that can look after my R26R.

The car is based in Essex so my search so far has brought up a form called 'Ren-o-Tec'
Anyone have any experience of them or recommend anywhere else based in North Essex ?

TIA

You may find a local Renault specialist is fine. Most of it is is a std Megane anyway. There's nothing specialist about the requirements of an R26R really.

You also have Mark Fish in Harlow and Engine Dynamics in Colchester...Essex is probably the best place in the country to live if you own a Renaultsport smile

Only discovered them after my Renaultsport days, but Ren-O-Tec are a good garage. Ran a few Renaults through my business that got used and abused and they always did a great job. Someone like Mark Fish is more specialised for the performance stuff I think, though.

I've been driving my Megan for more than a year. I love it! If you take care of it, there shouldn't be any issues.
