Renault servicing

The Vel Satis needs a service and I can't help feeling I'm going to get ripped off. Funnily enough the very subject was in the news this week.

I'd previously had a noisy flexible joint on the exhaust; Renault quoted £940 but I got it fixed by a recommended exhaust specialist for £120 - some difference!!

I'm now looking at a 72K mile service (major) and a cam belt change, and being quoted £1200 plus by the local Renault franchise

Can anyone recommend a good independent in the SE London/Kent/Surrey area that'll do a good job? Or feel like they'd had a reasonable experience with a franchise in the same area. I think I'd rather sell it than bite the bullet as it's probably not worth much more than £6k anyway.
