an idot that would like some advice

I love cars but I'm no mechnic.

Its a peugot 306 and I was dirving home today. the steering wheel started to rock back and forth gently theres a noise and some feed back when the steering is at full lock.

I'm thinking this is very bad could one of you kind people take a guess at whats wrong with my car?

If it happens going round corners it`s probably the C.V joint or perhaps a worn driveshaft...about 120 quid each side to renew.

it was on the strights that I noticed it and it steers to the left

take a good look round the front wheel assembly, see if there is anything broke/damaged..Sticking it in the garage is best...

Sounds like a lump on your tyre to me same thing happened to me about 6 years ago.
