Going to view this next week hopefully;

http://www.harratts.co.uk/nissan/Used-Car-Details/...

Is this a full fat with Cup chassis? Just says sports suspension, but it has adjustable steering and a keycard. AC and cruise, though. Ideally want one with all the toys.

Quick question, did any of these ever receive factory xenons? It's the only option I would like that they don't seem to have.

Yes, that's a Full Fat with Cup Chassis. Xenons weren't available on the 200. But they were on the 197. Strange but true.

We've had a 2010 Black FF traded in today, only 924 miles on it. Madness!

After a poke from someone else on this forum thought I'd say that, although it's not a 200, I have a 197 (I'm not a fan of the 200s lip)

I have a Clio RS 200 FF with 'Cup' pack.

It shares a garage with some more exotic machinery, but I'm very impressed with it. As a 'pocket rocket' it's probably the best you can buy (used) for £10-15k.

Super steering and handling finesse, quite well built, compliant ride (bit fidgety on some poor surfaces),smooth gearbox (6th could be an overdrive ratio though), nice level of performance, strong brakes, well equipped, cute looking.... Little to fault.

No wonder the motoring press love it so much.

I believe it doesn't make that much of a difference to sound or response, however, I did post a tip of the day many pages ago so at risk of repeating myself, on a 200, removing the air filter and leaving the cover off, produces a wonderfull induction noise and gives a slightly sharper throttle response. I loved the sound of it, very burbly.

Also a major loss in performance, according to the dyno runs I've seen with it on and off. frown There is a 30 page topic on silencer removal and there are plenty of videos that show the sound changes for the better, a lot raspier and plenty of pops and bangs on lift off, without being too intrusive. So I think it's a nice compromise without forking out £££ for an exhaust. And most people got it done for less than £60.

Ah yes. But and it's a big BUT. As the airbox intake is so far back, on a dyno, you will be getting hot dirty air into the engine as there is no airflow from the front, in clean, cool air. For sure, pottering around will have the same effect but get a nice speed on and everything comes good. IIRC , below 40 mph and it is as you describe.... Above it though, when the engine can breath again, another story.

I might be able to get one of these early next year so is there anything I should look out for, little issues or something? I want to get the standard 200 with the cup chassis in white with black wheels. smile

Gearboxs often need replacing within warranty. Interior wear issues are common.

The front calipers need cleaning regularly,they've been known to seize or produce uneven braking force.

clio197.net is a good source for more.

What exactly is the point in selling a 200 so you can buy another?
