I haven’t ventured in to this section for a little while (since I had my Conti R) and was thrilled to find a little bit of love for the Brooklands.

Mine is the classic Barnato green and tan leather combination which I craved for years until I found this one. I recently used it to run up to the north of Scotland and back in 48 hours and 1,000 miles. Some photos to enjoy...

Love these. But only only on those wheels. Makes it look so much classier. The 5 spokes don't suit it IMO.

Agreed, they are very special. I have a 20" two part split rim wheel for sale off my Brooklands Coupe. Fully refurbished and in perfect condition. Useful instead of the Space Saver, just add your tyre and fit. Price £800, approx. half price new. £800.

Morning everyone. Does the Brooklands retain that lovely leather smell such as you would enjoy in a Turbo R

At some point they switched from solvent based lacquers to water-based. The latter doesn't have the same smell, but it would depend on the year of the Turbo R in question to know whether it was before the switch or not.

As far as I can tell, the smell is the same as it has been the past 11 years. I do not know why or how the leather can keep up, but after the car has been closed for a couple of days the aroma is heavenly. If you drive the car every day the smell is great, but much reduced in intensity. I thank the cows who contributed to this.....
