Arnage T 2006 - brakes

Having just picked up my new car - 06 Arnage T (facelift) model - one thing I have noticed is the relatively soft brake pedal. The thing stops very well, and there are no warning lights, and the pads themselves seem to have plenty life in them, so is it just something "they all do it sir" or Is there problem ?

Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated...

Mine's softer than my wife's Ford SMAX, but I would have said the Ford's brakes are a bit touchy.
