Just dropped the car off for a colour change with a full wrap and a couple of layers of ceramic coat. I hope the finish looks as good as it did in the brochure.......

What ceramic coating are you going to use on a vinyl wrap?

Don't forget to post pics when the car is done, David.
Wrapping is not something I would be brave enough to do although I realise that it can easily be taken off again.

A ceramic coat on a wrap will do nothing, two coats will do twice the amount of nothing !.........anybody recommending you do this should be shot, before they take your money.

It is one coat of ceramic over the vinyl which puts an extra protective layer over the vinyl and produces the beading effect. I have also had the wheels and Calipers ceramic coated so a quick snow foam and pressure wash is all that is needed.

They strip the car down to ensure full coverage unlike some companies that put the vinyl on and cut around it with a scalpel.

That looks a nice shade of green. Is it a Bentley colour or a custom job?
Whatever, the car looks great.
Don't forget pics of the final result. Thanks.

It is a brand new colour produced by 3M called 'Wrap Film 1380-G216 Gloss Sapphire Green Metallic'. I should be collecting it later today so will have some 'Finished' photos shortly. I had the wheels and calipers deep cleaned and ceramic coated at the same time.

+1

When I say the title and forum was Rolls/Bentley, I was expecting the colour Gold to be involved hehe so pleasantly surprised.

Looks like it will be a massive improvement, look forward to seeing final pics.

Feel free to not answer If too personal - but how much does such a job cost?

Collected it this morning and as expected pouring down with rain and then a bird found it. Very pleased with the end result and the workmanship from Monsterwraps in Hedge End.

Wow! That does look stunning. Better in natural daylight than the pics from the workshop.
Typical about the bird poo!!

One of the things that I miss from my DB9 is the superb V12 burble at low revs and the Immense noise that it made when the exhaust valves opened. I appreciate that it is a Bentley and some people will disagree with what I am doing with regards to improving the 'Audio presence' of the car. There is also the Power and Torque issue with the car already around the 600bhp mark.

The car is now booked in to have the Larini 'ST2' Rear Assemblies and ActiValve System and the Larini 'Club Sport' centre section (Secondary De-Cat) with ActiValve remote to have full control over the exhaust valves. Followed by a full ECU remap will take the car over 700BHP and a Torque increase to around 630lb.ft

Keeping the original 'Speed' exhaust tips so will look the same from the outside.

I will post the Remap graphs on here once completed.

That sounds pretty immense. Would be interesting to hear what you think of the exhaust sound once done.
I wondered about something similar myself but decided that with the car on "Sport" and the valves open, it was probably loud enough for me. I have the Gen 2 Speed, not sure if Gen 1 is the same?

Just collected the car from DMS Automotive. Stage one complete with the Larini Acti-Valve ST2 exhaust fitted and ECU Re-Map now at 706bhp. I will post the print out shortly.

Stage 2 in a few weeks time will be the Larini centre exhaust section with secondary decat.

The car sounds awesome and fully controllable through a key fob.

I have now reached a deal on a Ferrari California so now only require £45,000. The advert gives more detail.

The garage selling my beast of a GT Speed has decided to remove the Metallic Sapphire Green wrap and revert back to the original Black. Lets see if it generates more interest in an effort to generate more interest.

With a Larini Sports exhaust and remapped to 706bhp and only 57,000 miles it is a bargin at the price they are selling it for.
