2002 Arnage Speedo & Tach issue

I recently got my first Bentley. Ive drooled over the Arnage for some time. After it got here the speedo and tach don't seem to be working properly. As soon as I start moving the speedo goes to about 70 mph. The tach is similarly not working and I believe it was around 500 rpm generally, although it did move a little bit.

Any ideas on where to start looking, or if the gauges have simply gone bad?

one other thing that could be related is that when I use either of the turn signals, the light in the dash that shows both turn signals lights, as though the emergency flashers are on, as opposed to the direciton of the flasher selected. the exterior flashers are all working appropriately so it seems this could be related in the dash.

I've had a speed sensor go out and it only effected the speedometer. So it sounds more like something electrical in the dash.

i to have the same issues re. speedo/rev.
its a common issue with the Arnage.
currently i am spending my monthly budget on sorting out other snaggings.
i will be sorting out the speedo repair over winter. as i believe that if the speedo is taken of, the car is immobilised
i am sending it off via my specialist ( Starman Bentley)
i think he mentioned about £350.....but i can get an accurate figure later today.

yes, cost about £300 for repair.
