Fair enough. In my experience - and I'm a huge critic of the BDC - you were just unlucky. It's certainly not the norm that I've encountered as most events you pay up front.

Ive had a couple of emails from BDC today, one about the Concours 2026 and one about the NEC Classic Car Show.

Im probably going to go to the CCS - but it doesnt mention who or what will be on the stand, the forum doesnt mention it but itd be quite cool to be on the stand. Suspect my car isnt old, cool or good enough though.

Concours sounds interesting, but again not much info. Is it one of those 'IYKYK' type events?

I've not heard about cars for the stand but there will be very few, probably "interesting" and no doubt already selected or almost!

Concours is a good day out. We don't generally stay for the weekend but a lot of people do. I like the Silverstone club day a lot but will unfortunately miss it in 2026 as it's the same day as the Redhill Cruise.
