Ha, thanks, but too many cars already. If I was going to buy a Conti it would have to be a Supersports

Loved that little read- excellent.
He calls it a hard top azure whereas I like to think of it as the 2 door Arnage smile
Got my fingers crossed I get my baby back tomorrow

There have been a couple of Arnages coming the the Collecting Cars auction site recently. One 2008 model, nicely used went for £28.5k plus fees.

Another older 2003 model with patchy history and reports of corroded fuel rail lines went for £15.5k plus fees.

£30k probably about right for that 2008 car given it still needs a little bit of work ( but don't they all !). Personally I'm not sure i could live with the interior, just a personal choice but not my bag.

Conversely I quite like that interior! Certainly more than some of the entirely cream affairs you see. Still got to try an Arnage at some point.

New steering rack in and now prepped for the messy business of an underside waxoyl treatment in readiness for winter.

Collected it last night and glad to have it back smile

All mechanical work (for now) seems to be complete so I can now think more about cosmetics. However before I do that a quick meet up with a fellow PH member Bomb and his recently purchased lovely GT8 for a coffee or two

This is my 2012 Continental Flying Spur Speed which I bought earlier on this year, it's just going to be a summer car so now safely tucked up until next spring. It's my first Bentley, I've had Land Rovers/Range Rovers for the past 40 odd years, although I still have a Land Rover as the daily driver but I have loved driving the Bentley around all summer.

Well that could suggest you're a fellow northerner and I'll have to keep an eye out for your steed on the road next year.

Been doing some manual work on my Arnage by replacing the spring clip that keeps the fuel flap up so I could fill up without having to hold it.
£40 later and 5 mins of expert ,I mean idiot proof, manual labour and broken string clip removed with a new one duly fitted.

Now looking at my leather ...... its suffered a few patches of yellowing on its original Cotswold coloured interior. Have tried a few cleaning techniques and products and nothing shifting it.
So it will probably need painting or dyed or whatever but concerned I end up with 2 shades of interior leather then. Or do I just live with it?

6.5 hour round trip from Aberdeen to Glasgow and back to pick up my Aunt for Xmas - Spur proving surprisingly frugal. Brilliant car for a journey like that

More to vent than anything, took 6 hours to get back from London on Monday, had to come off the M42, ended up cross country and came across some temporary traffic lights. Sitting at the front when some tosser flies through and gets too close.

I'm not going to worry about it or look to get it sorted until January but it looks like the LED and lower section of the mirror needs replacing as a minimum. Wonder what the Bentley tax will be on that. Of course the guy didn't stop and just fked off.

OFFS! curse

Might be worth checking in with Flying Spares to see what they have available?

Quite a rare colour though I think?

Gutted for you!
