I think I have found the right people to look after my RT

On Balmoral Green's suggestion, I dropped in there yesterday morning first thing (I had a lunch meeting about 5 miles away). Very pleasant chaps. Took my RT out for a checkover and drive and immediately (as in "hadnt gotten out of the forecourt" diagnosed that both my rear suspension nitrogen spheres were gone. This explained the curious bouncy ride at the back <cough>

They offered to halt all other work to get them changed on the spot, because they felt it was unsafe to drive as it was.

An hour later, the work had been done. Plus they'd given the car a thorough lookover too.

Identified that its running low at the front and needs spring washers. Plus some of the front suspension rubbers are worn out (9 years of 3/4 tonne on each, normal wear and tear.

Its going in during march for a week for a full service -- we will do a complete front suspension rebuild/rebush. fix the headlining which is a bit saggy. Fix some rattles in the dash etc.

Cost for yesterday -- 60 quid labour, two spheres, and a few sundries. Was about 300 all in. Best 300 I've spent on the car.

Now how do I describe their incredulity that the Bentley Essex engineer drove the car last week and didnt spot the rear suspension issue? Enough said.

Huge thanks to BM for the recommendation. And huge thanks to PMC for their instant support and expertise. These guys appear to be to Bentleys what Rikki Cann is to Astons. I just wish they werent on the wrong side of london to me :-)

Glad to hear you had great service, did you see their racer? There is the 1st one out the back, and the 2nd one on the lift.
