Dear All,
Apologies if this has been covered. I have an F56 2015 Mini Copper SD and at 32k miles the rear pad sensor warning light has come on. After some shopping around (euro car parts £41, Gsf £80 I got mini down to £106 for the pads and sensor)
Basically wheel off, 2 x 14mm socket bolts, caliper off, use snipe nose pliers to carefully wind the piston back in - screw in clockwise half a turn at a time and keep re seal correctly seated. Once it's fully back (it will keep rotating but won't go back further) rebuild. The sensor is on the RHR inner pad and has a larger backplate to hold it in place. The bobble side of the sensor goes to the disc side (if you don't see how to do that then probably shouldn't be doing this lol).
The pack has pad carriers and new bolts.
Wheel nuts 120nm
Reset warning light by ignition on, hold trip reset about 20 secs, short press to scroll through option and long press to reset.
Brake pads started at at £126 at soper in Lincoln but got them down to £106.
They wanted to do a full brake check and then £25 to reset service light as above but you don't need to have Mini do it by plugging it in despite what you may be told.
Reset in also on f56 mini forums too.
Hope this helps people
