I do wonder if they've reconfigured the PDC so that when you reverse into a space, the audible bleeps stop when you shift out of reverse.

It'd be nice if the Configure tool on the website had been updated! All Mini appear to have done is take it down.

Not an issue on my 12 plate Cooper auto. I remember a thread a while back - guess you didn't get the issue resolved, or it's F56 only?

It's an F56 thing... Never been an issue on any MINI (or any car or van for that matter) that I've ever owned or driven, but the F56/F57 doesn't turn the sensors off when you de-select reverse.

It really gets on my tits.

Have they fitted led indicators and called it the LCI?

apologies if been asked before. New to the Mini thing.

There appears to be no mini configurator on the web site? is this a new model of mini just out or about to come out? when is it expected. Think it looks great. trying to work out if I can afford one...

Yip my 2016 JCW does that too.
You reverse back, stop, put the car into neutral or 1st to park (manual gearbox) and the beeping noise continues.

Yup, that's what I was trying to describe.

The R50/R52/R53 1st gen cars turned the beeps off when you came out of reverse, the 2nd Gen R56 based cars also did, plus every other car I've ever driven including Mercedes, Peugeot, Ford, Volkswagen, Renault, other BMW products, even our Transit van all turn the beeps off when you come out of reverse.

In my mind it's just wrong, and needs to be resolved.

The Configurator was taken down when the LCI (i.e. the 2018 facelifted models) was announced on Wednesday. I guess it'll be up as soon as their digital team have sorted out the app! Not impressive planning though, I was in the middle of speccing a car for a quote and am now having to wait to see how they've priced stuff like Nav now that Visual boost seems to be standard.

So do we think the new rear lights feature a DRL & LED reverse lights

Have they done away with the LED strips on the doors in favour of the flag on the dash

Questions questions whistle

Poor. I wanted to have a play but I couldn’t. I think the US version was working though, not that helps.

MINIUSA are still showing the pre-LCI car. I can't find any other MINI sites with a live configurator, poor really in this day and age.

EDIT - The even more irritating thing is that the brochure available for download is for the pre-LCI car too, that's really unforgivable

I was at a Mini dealer at the weekend. The Product guy mentioned that they were expecting BMW/Mini to release information on Wednesday concerning the Mini LCI/Facelift.

Yes, shoestring 7, that fits in with what my garage told me. They are going to advise me this week the latest position. I understand that column mounted shifters won't be available for the DCT on the sportier models to start with though.
My dealer rang me last week to advise that our December MCS order was only at scheduled stage, not confirmed, so they were able to change it so that we get the facelift car. smile It's due week 10 in March now. Having seen some reviews, the MINI puddle light projection will come as part of the Chili Pack. I can see it being a Marmite item though.

Good to hear the dealer could be flexible. You'll probably need to visit again when the final spec is available to confirm your options.

BMW appear to have really dropped the ball on this LCI with no brochures, missing configurator, and a drip feed of revised parts arriving over a year (petrol gauge was early, engines pushed to Q4, etc.). You've got to hope it's lack of resources on the LCI because the design team are working on something amazing for 2019.

My contact suggests the configurator will be up tomorrow (Wednesday).
