Hi guys

Any one had their F57 remapped by the likes of Celtic Tuning to 284bhp??

Mine is at 210 with the JCW kit fitted - fancy taking it further!

If so was the acceleration/torque more noticeable??

Cheers

I've been monitoring the situation with remaps on these for a while.

I've got an F56 and was looking at the Celtic remap. They claim strong numbers but I am wary as Manic - Mini specialists - aren't confident enough with their own remap to bring it to market. If Manic aren't happy yet, there's no way I'm trusting my car to be mapped by Celtic who aren't Mini specialists. A few people on the F56 forums reported issues running software maps, whereas plugin boxes seem to be producing smaller gains but have been faultless.

It seems at the moment the way to go is a plugin box like the NM or Jb4, I'm swaying towards the Jb4 as it allows you to set boost by gear and my S already spins up a little.

IIRC the Jb4 on map 2 is producing about 265bhp on the dyno so definitely worth the upgrade.

I watched this last night after seeing your comment. They seem to know their stuff.

If you speak to James at Dervtech(http://www.dervtech.com/) he should be able to advise what they can offer specifically for your car.
They seem to be averaging 270-280bhp for a CooperS and ~290-300bhp for a JCW, live mapped on a dyno so custom to your own car. Really knowledgeable guys and have quite a few cars running their maps, including a few which have been on the 'ring without any problems.

Nice one thanks

I had a reply from Celtic Tuning - very generic - interesting that the engine etc is the same as the 28i Z4 - That's what I got rid of for a shall we say 'a bit more fun'

Hi

We have the full JCW tuning kit including the sports exhaust system - it is advertised on the official mini website.

It took our F57 from 189bhp to 210bhp - it was factory fitted and certified.

To be honest now that we have experienced this system any other mini without wouldn't seem right - the exhaust sounds amazing.

There are a few Youtube videos showing the difference.

It will be more than 210 if you dyno it, these engines are great. I have the kit too and mine puts out 227 and 340nm. Measured on Dyno Dynamics.
