Mini R56 Installing Eccentric Shaft Motor

Hi,
I am in the process of rebuilding the head on a 2007 R56 N12B14 and not sure how to reinstall the eccentric shaft motor. Based on the online TIS manual I need to wind the motor in but there are no details of the position the toothed cam on the shaft needs to be in when reinstalling the motor.
Can anyone help please ?

Just wind it in to any position and when u first start the car it will either move end to end to teach itself the endsstops or you will need to set it up via laptop.

Does the software and cable sold on eBay allow me to do the calibration?

Depends on what software I have - Ista or rheingold will do it for sure. Not sure about any of the others. Inpa and dis might with the right k can lead. Where r u in the country
