I have a 2012 R58 JCW which I have had for a year now. It hardly makes any pops, cracks at all from the exhaust, which is really disappointing. I get the occasional pop when engine is well warmed up and driven very hard, but even this does not guarantee it will always happen. Car has had a decoke and been mini dealership serviced by me and the previous owner. Yes it is in sports mode- am I doing something wrong or is it a mapping issue?? Any help/advice gratefully received.

Will definitely be trying that as a starting point, before committing to the expense of an exhaust 👍

Its taken 8 tanks of super and 4000 miles to get my 2015 R58 popping. I now get a regular double bang on throttle lift off.

Try throwing a match in the tank after filling it with super, thats the only time road cars should pop and bang.

Obviously pops and bangs aren't stock but gives you an idea.
My car is manic stage 3.
Exhaust is fjcw and decat.
