R52 outer door handle

2006 R52 passenger side door outer handle wont open the door. The inner handle works fine. Is there an easy way to remove the outer handle to see whats wrong and if so how do I do it.

Common fault, door card has to come off but just order a second hand one from ebay or similar. All R50/R52/R53 are the same so doesn't have to come off a Convertible.

Yes, very common. It's a 15 minute job to sort.

I know how to get the door card off but how does the handle come off? It looks like allen keys but I couldn't get to the one towards the back of the door.

It's torx bit's I think? Been a few years since I've done one.

Can you remember how to get to the bolt at the rear of the handle?
