Replacement mini 2.0L D engine

Advice please. Following a catastrophic failure internally, I am looking for a replacement engine for my 2015 Mini Countryman 2.0L D. Engine type is 75219110 N47C20K1. Any ideas re the best places to look.

I would check on a mini specialist website to see who is recommended in your area.

Or just go to ebay and type mini 2.0 engine n47, search high to low and then look at their feedback both on and off ebay.

What is the catastrophic failure? If it’s just the chain failed and damaged can carrier and followers I would think about repairing it as some of the eBay engines are a bit of a gamble.

Obviously if it’s thrown a rod through the block then u don’t have much choice

If it has full dealer service history, I’d be knocking on BMW’s door with the consumer protection docs.
