So drove mine to the office yesterday first thoughts are very positive. Seems to pull very well up through the gears. Gearbox is ok, not as good as some but I can live with it. Composed isn’t a word that springs to mind but front wheel drive isn’t my thing normally so I’ll say entertaining. Flappy paddles are too small and go around with the wheel which is annoying. Fit and finish is excellent. Not sure about the planks nailed to the arches but they might grow on me.
Overall I think it’s going to be great fun.

I hope you really enjoy it and get the chance to drive it properly soon. I’d love to have a go in 1 of those. My Wife has a JCW Hatch and it is such a good laugh to drive.

Agreed, as soon as there is a cancelled order in the local area I’ll certainly be going for a look.

Couldn’t commit without seeing one in the flesh but wouldn’t be surprised if I capitulate if I think it looks good.

Anyone care to share the Mini PCP deals obtained?

Have you found Sport Mode for the gearbox? That picks things up a bit.

Is that the Gp button, which knocks of the traction control?

No, knocking the gearleaver over to the left when in Drive, but not using the paddles.

Seems to sharpen the changes and let the engine rev out more, blips on downshifts too when pressing on.

Oh ok thanks, I’ve only driven it on the paddles, so you’re saying
Fully automatic?

I find it surprising that customer cars have been delivered but there is not one single review on the car being driven by an Auto journalist.
Where is the Pistonheads review on the car?

I'm desperate for a proper review and video. Especially as mine was to be built this week and now on hold.

Petrol ped on YouTube had one on order, was informed his was one of the first off the line after he decided to cancel, probably royally kicking his arse I'm guessing, as to be one of the first to review would have been a scoop for him.

I am in the same boat. My car was due to be built early April but is delayed now by 3 weeks at least. I really want to see a proper review on them, it would be good to know that i made the right choice by sticking with it.
My last dealer email on my Yaris GR order is now quoting 1st quarter 2021 now

I just watched the cancel video on YouTube, he missed a real scoop there for sure.

FWIW That's the reason I cancelled my order with Sytner Coventry. I guess I'm just used to factory support (I've had a new M135i and M140i in the past), but for me £600pm is Porsche Cayman, Alpine A110 or BMW M2C money.

I had exactly the same thought process. I have an M140i on the drive that costs me £310 a month. I appreciate this is limited but the figures, for the way I approach it just didn't add up!

I would imagine all deals are going to struggle now and in the near future given the forecast residuals on cars dropping. Surely
demand is going to be at an all time low.

I cancelled my order some weeks ago, dealership young salesman was a cocky dick who annoyed me with his lack of knowledge but knows it all type kidder, I was gutted to do it but looks like a wise move under the circumstances, quite a few cancellations coming thru as I’ve been contacted by 3 dealers offering me a cancellation who knew I’d cancelled my original order, if they start reducing the price I’m back in

I remember when I got my GP2 from new I left it late and got a decent deal (too long ago to remember the specifics).

Might be back in myself it becomes more affordable / justifiable.

I also cancelled a couple of months ago for various reasons...however dealer called to say their first car was now available if i had a change of mind! TGE has one, but in current environment wont be able to drive it.
