My new JCW Clubman was due at the end of July, but with the widely publicised chip shortages I was sure it would be delayed. Dealer called today to confirm the car should be delivered to the PDI centre next week with delivery to me at the start of July. Cannot wait!

Excellent news, post an update when you get it. We have a JCW hatch due for delivery at the end of the month, we only placed the order mid-May so fingers crossed smile

Out of interest, I'm assuming yours doesn't have the HK audio? It's currently a source of frustration for my wife as we've been told we won't be getting the HK system now due to the chip shortages...

No, HK wasn't on my order - I've seen your post about your own experience. I feel your pain though as the digital dash which was due to be standard was dropped unless I added Nav Plus. I didn't really want to, but the deal through Park Lane / the military scheme was so good I went for it in the end.

That’s where I have ordered my car from, fantastic discount. Are you collecting or having it delivered?

I went for delivery. Probably a bit silly but just seemed the easiest (laziest) option!

Mine was delivered from Park Lane in a enclosed car trailer direct from the factory.

I'm liking the sound of an enclosed trailer! I would have thought though that it goes to the dealer for PDI unless you opted not to have this?

Mine was ordered through the UK Forces scheme also, it doesn't go anywhere near Park Lane dealership. From what I've been told the forces scheme are a complete separate operation to Park Lane retail. Mine was PDI at the factory and picked up from there. I asked the driver where he was of next and he said back to the factory in Oxford to pick another one up.

Interesting. I was told Park Lane have a PDI centre in Kent which is where the usual pre delivery / paint protection work is carried out. I had the option of collecting from there or the dealership in London, which I know a lot of people go for. I've never heard of a car having a PDI at the factory. Either way, I quite like a new car being delivered to the house. All very exciting!

I'm getting mine via issd but I'm eligible for it though the IAM rather than the forces. I got 16% discount which I was chuffed with, I don't know if they do different rates for the different categories.

When my order form came though for me to sign it had a charge for £300 for delivery so I queried it. It's now been removed and I'm collecting from park Lane for no charge.

It's a great deal, it really is. I think it's the same discount no matter how you qualify, but obviously varies from model to model and time of ordering. I so nearly went for a 128ti but changed at the last minute to a JCW Clubman. Discount is just under 20 percent. What did you go for?

Just under 20% is fantastic! Joining the IAM has been one of the best things I've done, it's improved my roadcraft and I've now got a BMW bike in the garage and a mini on the way.

I've gone for the jcw hatch in enigmatic black, I'm really looking forward to getting it. When I ordered I was told it would be delivered in October but it's looking like it will be here in early August now.

I bet you'll love the clubman, with 300bhp it will be rapid!

Our Countryman was delivered in April by covered trailer direct from the BMW PDI/ Distribution centre near Thorne. The registration plates do have Park Lane on them. Discounts using the Military scheme on the Countryman are not just quite as good as the Clubman but still good at approx 18.5%.

The price when I got out Clubman JCW towards end of last year was crazy low, £355 + 47x £355 which included delivery and metallic paint. Options appeared to be reduced also as they added GMFV but also monthlies weren't much more, if I remember correctly, pan roof only added £7 a month. Total discount was around £10k
