F56 One Engine Confusion

When did the F56 MINI One get the 1.5l engine?

Looking at a March 2018 registered MINI One for my daughter. According to sales info, and confirmed by registration on insurance quote sites, it's the 1499cc engine. However, I thought the 1.5 only came in with the LCI models and Union Jack taillights (maybe from April '18?) and before that, it was the 1.2. This seems to be the case on my google searches for F56 engine history so far...

Looking at the pictures it doesn't have the UJs. It also has the 4 line display screen for radio/media so it's definitely not the LCI as far as I can tell.

The 2018 LCI model change was not a straightforward overnight change, and there are a number of owners of cross over model variants that have some of the new features but not all of the new trim etc. Changes to Powertrain components may well have started early in 2018 and the car you are looking at is probably a pre LCI but with the ‘new’ 1.5l engine spec,

Thanks folks - it’s definitely a 1.5 having run some insurance quotes and checked the DVLA. I managed to find a late 2017 brochure which shows the One as having the 1.5 so as Christch77 noted it looks like the engine upgrade came before the LCI. Every day a school day an’ all that…

The engine upgrade came when 1499 GT production started, which I believe was 01/11/2017.
