Engine ordered for the black one I collect at the weekend, need to decide what to do with the white one, park it and fix it in a few months, or just clean it up and sell on as a project.....

Can I ask how much are recon engines for these at the moment, and are the recon engines any good.

Mine failed despite the previously only having all the expensive engine rebuild work done.

I get them from Mintech, and the N47 is the most expensive at £1900inc vat, however they are good, engine looked like new when it arrived, it pulls really well and apart from using ~1litre of oil during the first 500 mile run in, hasn't used a drop of oil since.

Anyone know where to get a turbo cassette fir an n47 that isn't far east tat? And is it worth going for a bigger intercooler on a stage 1 diesel tune?

I've never yet seen an A-team job that really looked the part - I think it would be a challenge. Ghostbusters looks cool though.

Well putting new air con pipe on the mini took roughly 2 hours less than taking it off! Air con will be regassed asap, so expect rain and frost next week. Just the wheels to swap over and its for sale, on to the black one next.

Is it a nightmare? I have an R57 and the aircon's stopped working. My luck implies it will be the compressor.
