There's some info about it here: www.mini2.com/forum/showthread.php?t=109174&highlight=JCW+225

But so far, I haven't found a review of it... Man I'm tempted!

Maser! What have you done? Now I'm thinking about calling JCW and arranging a day on the south coast!

Want to meet for a 'compare and contrast' session?... Just in case you can't remember what a 'standard' 210 JCW feels like

I'll let you know how the hooligan handles around Brands soon, got a track day booked for Friday... Wonder if I'll be able to make it up the hill to Druids with only 210bhp?

Car has now gone in for the conversion .
Two days before we get her back and we can't wait !
JCW are quality
Excellent customer service.
Having a new flywheel installed as well to give an extra 8 Bhp.
Should be fun when she comes back !

If anyone's interested email me for the clip / link.

Cheers.

A collegue of mine at work has a Cooper S Convertible with a GT Tuning 230bhp conversion, it goes very well indeed, to a point where when he gave me a test drive in it I had to get him to slow down, and I drive a Cerbera! A very impressive conversion on a good looking car

225hp conversion sounds awesome, but TBH i've got the 210hp works and it is just soooo quick i'm not sure i'd handle anymore!

Davislove,

The Mini Cooper S Convertible above that Cyclone1 is talking about is my car (wife's to be honest); it's nippy now after the GTT 230 conversion and is now the car the Mini Cooper S should always have been, FUN!

To be truthful the car is a Convertible so it's a bit porky, somewhere underneath it will have the equivalent of a couple of steel girders to stop it from flexing and it's full of hydraulic motors Etc.

I recon if you placed Non convertible a works 225 at the side of my car and had a drag race the works 225 would probably win because it's lighter, the fact that I weigh 16 Stone does not help either. Thinking about it though I would fancy my chances against a Works 225 Convertible but because it's an aftermarket conversion I have to be carefull that I don't break it.

Ps, My wife and I are going on the French BMW Mini Champagne Reims Tour booked through Continental Car Tours(01304 380244), this is on the 8th, 9th and 10th April, 19 other mini's have booked to date, any other takers?

Alan.
