is it worth paying extra for a works cooper s ??

looking for a used cooper s at the mo , just after advice about the works model , i know about the specs, so......is it worth the extra £1500-2000 for this model???

and is it any more expensive to run/service?

No different to service, a small drop in mpg (but then if you're worried about mpg the MINI isn't the car for you) and of course a rise in insurance.
