Original Magnesium Rose Petal wheels value?

Ive got a set of (5) original 4.5x10 Magnesium rose petal alloys in the shed complete with 1970's tyres on them, any idea what they would be worth if I stuck them on e-bay? They've not been restored and would probably need to be.

If they are original Magnesium from the 70's i doubt they are much cop and are probably porous by now.

Probably not as much as you'd credit. If they are genuine Mag - porosity as mentioned is an issue and realistically any Magnesium wheel would need minimum crack testing before safely running on the road.

Could be restored - and might be ideal for the concours brigade - rolling it on and off the trailer...

I would try ebay but would put in the add that they would require looking at befor useing on the road. There may even be some listed so you can see what price they are going for.

a genuine set of cooper car co mag rose petals will be worth SERIOUS money.

any buyer will know what checks need to be made, but will probably only use them for shows etc.

the avalibilty of the modern repros mean that people dont need to use the originals as road wheels now a days.

i would guess that they will be worth 500-750 if in straight & fair condition - a lucky find!

Thanks for the replies, I might test the water on ebay and see what happens with a decent reserve.
The wheels came on my Mk1 Cooper S but I dont use them now as I have gp2 arches and alloy minilights on it which I prefer the look of.

If they get decent money it will pay to tidy up the interior.
