GK64 I saw this when in USA many years ago and they still sell them as a replacement box for the corvette - might fit a GK but it is what you might call “reassuringly expensive”

Hi Vette Number,
Thank you - it looks interesting, but sadly from previous research I'm pretty certain that the Tremec box doesn't fit in a GK transmission tunnel, which is fairly tight around a B-W T10. And you're right about the price; it would add up to quite a lot when you'd paid to ship it, added VAT and any duty etc...

Hi all,
Yesterday went for a drive but could feel any fresh air coming out of the heater outlets, let alone warm air, ventilator running and flap open.
Is this normal on a Keeble?I thought from Jag MK2 experience it would be a small airstream, but this is even less..

Hi Dirk, the Smiths unit is a bit asthmatic but, with the foot well vents closed, it usually clears the windscreen pretty quickly.

Merry Xmas PHers. Please send me a pm if you are considering selling your GK or know of someone who is. Running or restored cars preferred, but would look at a resto or project.

_Obrut_ you have PMs disabled!

Presumably you have seen Chassis 77 advertised on Car and Classic.

Thanks MY - PM’s now open.

I have seen the 77 grey car - the auto was the only thing that put me off.

Hi everyone,
Happy New Year to all Keeble fans and I'm looking forward to some good car shows this year.A drag racing friend has already invited me to the Props & Pistons show later this year and there is plenty more in between.Another thing I want to do this year is visit Terry Harris and have a chat also to meet up with GK52 both of whom I know only through phone calls!
Anyone fitted gas struts to the Keeble bonnet if so what type did you use and any problems?

Thanks
Keeble Kid

Happy new year Keeble Kid. Ch76 had bonnet gas struts when I bought it, I had them removed and returned it to the original strut when I had it re-sprayed. It had some stress cracks around the hinging points in the wings and the bonnet had a slight bow. Whilst it was by no means certain the gas struts had caused these issues, I was happy to have them removed rather than run the risk of cracking my nice new paint.

If anyone is interested in a 1/43 scale Gordon Keeble model, the BoS version seems to have come down a lot in price, one German seller on Ebay now offering for 29.95 euros including UK delivery. Also, used radiator and fuel tank up for Auction.

Hi Keeble Kid,
A pair were fitted concurrent with rebuild and many years later no problems. They were fitted using appropriate swivel joints and robust plates on underside bonnet ribs and mounting plates on engine bay side bulkheads. No signs of stress and they work admirably so easy to use.

Check out SGS engineering model GS8/18/230/280. Good luck.

Hi Mellow and Straight Eights,
thanks both for the information. They are my fuel tank and rad on eBay & no takers so they are going back up in the store room.I did find some other Keeble related stuff though, NOS Ford Thames 400e uprights and I must sort out those bezels. Is anyone still needing G-K headlamp bezels? Nearly bought a Saab 9-3 Turbo the other day a nice looking motor and very safe.I just got notification of the GK trip to the nuclear bunker this years Spring GK trip. I'm not going unless I win some cash and can afford that Maserati Mexico at DD Classics, a right hooker & a manual at that.Sex on wheels up there with the Grifo & Keeble!
Cheers

Impressive turnout, late 90's? I don't recall concrete block paving being around much before then.

I could well be interested in the uprights -it would enable me to sort out my bump steer without changing the rack height. Please PM me if they're still available!

A Friend dropped these off to me today, probably date from the around 85 - 87 ish, I used to own BFU940B for a few years in my 20's, swopped it for a Sunbeam Tiger ....seemed like a good idea at the time...ooooh how age & wisdom makes you think otherwise

Great to see these -I've owned BFU940B (chassis 006) for the last 18 years, having previously owned 009 and 044

It now looks like this:

And has this under the bonnet (383 cubic inch, Edelbrock heads, roller cam....)

Funnily enough, I owned a Tiger for twelve years before getting my first Keeble.
