Is that the black-bumpered one that is (or was a few years ago) in the Haynes museum?

Hi V10 Mike,

Had seen some photos very very impressed, glad to see BFU has received the care and attention needed, would be great to see it in the flesh one day, I did see some online footage of it being driven around a track somewhere...strangely enough I used to compete and did use BFU as a tow car on rare occasions!

Hi Tog,

Not sure, so may be wrong here.... but think that belonged to an old friend sadly now passed on, it was originally Dark blue with all the chrome, he had a lot of work done converting to the black look popular back then, unfortunately the car was stolen and I thing "torched" ....

Based on the club gallery it looks like Ch63 (Same colour scheme, wide wheels, webasto sunroof), Ch83 (red, different plate, narrow wheels) is the one listed as destroyed by fire.

Looking for a GK owner in the U.S. Would like to invite them to a major concours in September in the Philadelphia, PA area. Hopefully someone will reply.

Hi Dirk. Like many, Ch76 is fitted with a Mota Lita boss and wheel. They do bosses to fit almost everything (https://www.moto-lita.co.uk/bosses), not cheap but the do a very close match to the original.

Thanks... we came up behind it as it moved out to overtake something, it looked so elegant and delicate in amongst the modern stuff, but very, very stylish. The only disappointment was not being able to reach for my camera in time!

Dirk, the thing to watch out for with Mota Lita is they do two different boss diameters which will further restrict wheel choice.

Just to liven things up, a picture of Ch76 at the Borde Hill show. As soon as I pulled up, the MGA twin cam owner demonstrated his knowledge by pointing out that the GK was the only car to share the same wheels.

Hi Dirk,

If you are getting a little clonk as you are moving off could be a number of things, however, if you have just painted the wheels make sure that they are properly seated and the spinners are tight. Might possibly be where the hub goes onto the axle with the 'key'. Good luck!

Clunk could be wear in the half shaft splines. I had this on 006, couldn't detect it when jacked up because the spline had moved to an unworn section.

Did you find out which cars share the half shafts. Nice to add to the knowledge base for parts!

First posting on this forum so hello all GK enthusiasts. Having just joined the GKOC I thought it a good start to make contact via PH also.
I'm yet another potential owner waiting for a car to become available so would be grateful for any leads, tips or advice on the acquisition front!
