Another Brit in an Italian suit. "Triumph Italia", a TR3 with a Michelotti designed body, built by Vignale in Turin.

Well spotted. Very pleased with the result. It certainly has changed the nature of the car more than I thought it would, it now seems to have more of an edge to it. I drove chassis 51 many many years ago when it was for sale and thought the gearshift was pondorous and a bit vague with a heavy clutch, which was the main reason I kept 77 an auto when restoring it. Thanks to Terry Harris (who did the reconversion back to a manualT10 box) the shift is slick and precise and the cutch, whilst heavier than a modern, is fine.

Hi mellow yellow,
Agree, probably with original registration DLK 831 C, in fact chassis #59 been a long time resident in Europe currently registered in Netherlands. Its reported a comprehensive total ground up restoration was completed last year - sounds very impressive.

Sadly this sort of useful historical data has recently, for a variety reasons, been compromised and increasingly diluted, but not really a matter for this forum.

However am currently away from base so only information to hand as follows:
CBH 809B - is chassis #11 with different UK reg plate and undergoing rebuild finished in red
DBH 153B - is chassis #23 sold in 1992 to USA owner and finished in silver
Hope this helps maybe you could post the pictures to at least add to history of marque.

EBH 158B is chassis number 44 and was white when owned by Lord Davies. Later appeared in The Cars the Star I think.
DBH 153B is no 23 and has been in the States since the mid seventies.
CBH809B is no 11, now red ex KeebleKid. Later BUY 1H . [ Incidentally CBH810B is no 14 ]

CZ827 is no 41 and went new to New Zealand. It was supplied by Bill Shiells of Shiells Galt Ltd who was the G- K importer for New Zealand. . On Bill's death in 2007 his widow very kindly sent me his Keeble archives which includes colour photos of this car new in Bill's showroom ! It was Regal Red with cream and has the early rear lights. Also in the showroom was no 92 which was the dark blue car supplied to Sir Robert Stewart CBE who kept it for ten years during which time it was serviced by Bill Shiells. It remains in NZ. No 41 has been in Australia for many years and is now blue.

My own involvement with Keebles goes back to a test drive courtesy of the Eton Motor Group in winter 1964 resulting in GBH606C [no 79] being bought new by my father in march 1965. He kept it till 1972 by which time it had covered about 80000 relatively trouble free miles. Coincidentally it has lived in New Zealand since the mid seventies and remains in good original condition. [Regal red still]. I drove the car frequently in the sixties and in 1973 realised I should have bought it off my father ! As a consolation prize I went out and bought my first Keeble. Which leads me neatly to :
BNX191B. No 20. Another Regal red car bought in Bedford for £1450. Very original but then missing the front bumper. Later owned by Barry Kibble with the number KHS888. Featured by Classic and Sports Cars twice. Now GBD154B. I have subsequently owned a further eight Keebles -so far......
CJJ882B is no 47 and is now in New Zealand but was in the USA for many years.
GK anorak, you are not alone. Hope this helps.

Many many thanks for the responses to my posting about mystery Gordon Keebles.I am very grateful for the information which I would not have been able to get from any other source.I have tried the G.K.O.C. in the past and they were able to shed some light on some but not all my enquiries. Thanks once again! As to posting photos I shall have to enlist help from my son in law as to how to do this as I am a bit ignorant about such things but give me time! One thing I would like to ask anyone who may know the answer to is-- why are there two different vehicles with chassis number 41 as listed on the G.K.O.C. page?I am at a loss to explain why this is so.Cheers from Oz!

For those that missed it in 2012, I posted the following:

For those of you who missed it in 1999, I've just noticed that someone has uploaded to YouTube the old BBC2 documentary "Several Careful Owners" about the Gordon-Keeble http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWqVxYRsrvg. I have to admit to being the brother of the opera singer rolleyes I actually kept and ran the car for about 9 months before taking it to France, but I obviously wasn't interesting enough for the BBC to be included! The sculptor who "would never sell" sold it in 2005 and it's now in Ireland.
This is EBH 158B, pictured below as it was when I owned it in the late eighties.
