Italy road trip for wifes 30th

My wife turns 30 in July and we have talked about a road trip down the West coast of Italy for a long time, we will probably only have 4 days to do it so need to make the best use of the time!

Does anyone have any good recommendations or trips they have done before? Also any good car hire places with something interesting that won't break the bank would be much appreciated!

Shouldn't you hire a Fiat 500? Cheap and quintessentially Italian.

Fly into Pisa ,go to Lucca ,I always recommend that ,drive up coast to Genoa ,Portofino etc.
