Where can I buy a replacement coolant hose in Northampton? I don't mind whether it's silcone or rubber, but it's urgent - this afternoon ideally!

Thanks,
Baz.

for what car Baz?

these are only possibles so don't drive there whithout checking first

you could try Sheltune on the Kettering Road (next to the drive-in MoT place)
134 Kingsley Park Terrace on the Kettering road

or perhaps make something up from McGanns (A1 Store) in Kingsthorpe, Harborough Rd
Tel: (01604) 715021 - 71 Harborough Road, Northampton, NN2 7SH

or somewhere like Bedford Battery, NAP, Central Auto Parts, the other places on Grafton Street Industrial Estate

ETA: see below

try CAP first perhaps as they have other branches - Central Auto Parts - Unit 1 Quorn Way, Grafton Street Ind Estate, Northampton NN1 2PN - 01604 632354

Northants Auto Parts (& Service Ltd) - 01604 750200 - Harvey Reeves Road, Northampton, NN5 5JR

Bedford Battery Co. - Gladstone Close (off Gladstone Rd, near Kings Heath), Northampton NN5 7AY - 01604 759555

Thanks Nigel. After a long lunchtime phoning around and visiting some of the above (and a few more besides!) I've decided to order from AP MotorStore - should be with me tomorrow.

It's for the Cerb, which is being collected on Saturday - hence the urgency... frown

It seems nobody stocks "generic" hoses any more - they all wanted to refer me to the main dealer... frown

yeah if it's for the Cerbie then unless it's from another car it's something that the usual suppliers wont have a clue on

I couldn't think of anywhere that might have hoses you could construct - this is the problem with the internet age, despite Northampton and county having motoring interests it's now difficult to find what used to be even easy to find (try finding an extensive range of imperial nuts and bolts)

I'd have thought you'd contact TVR Power in Far Cotton (perhaps you did)

I know a couple of Cerbies that rarely turn a wheel I could have 'borrowed' a hose for you after dark wink

ETA: by collected do you mean you've sold it? what's next if so?

Yes - she's off to Ireland on Saturday. frown

Not sure on the replacement yet. At least this time I did it right and sold before buying...

In the end I ordered from AP MotorStore - should be with me in the morning.

yes you'll be able tell if it the right one for a TVR as the label will come unglued and fall off wink

I believe the standard response is along the lines of "Holy thread resurrection, Batman".
Thanks PipemanPete - but I sold the Cerb 6 years ago, and haven't lived in Northants for the last 4 years. But I appreciate you taking to time to reply.
