It’s Ford night so would have been a perfect excuse to get the Mustang out, however it’s also my work leaving do in London

Big turnout (even though plenty had left when I got there at 18:30 ish) and some interesting stuff, my favourites being a brilliant R30 Skyline, and the Falcon Ute

Popped down in my white Rover 200Vi. Far bigger meet than expected!

Those of us with normal jobs hadn't even arrived by the time you psoted this hehe

It's a big ol' turnout when the weather's decent, and a decent mix of stuff too.

It was a great colour too!

Whilst I have seen a De Tomaso Pantera before, I hadn't seen the boot / engine compartment open before, displaying that it really was just the engine, gearbox and some suspension gubbins in there, so much clean empty space. Looked fantastic.

I found the 1914 Vauxhall A12 3 litre great to have a nose around, and had a nice chat with the owner who had restored it.

I’ve got to feed and entertain the kids tonight, so we’re going to head over to this meet. I haven’t been to it since June 2018! How time flies!

Glad we went. My favourite car was the 1953 Lancia Aurelia B20GT coupe. Apparently bought new by Adnan Khashoggi, the flamboyant arms dealer playboy uncle of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was murdered and dismembered in the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul 5 years ago.

One doesn't often see an 8.4 litre Daimler (the red one!) at Earls Barton!

Yes the usual eclectic mix.

It always amazes me what some people consider to be vehicles worth showing. How about a scruffy silver 2008 Passat saloon with frilly wheel arches?

Someone even brought along a base spec. 2019 Fiesta and parked it with the show cars. That particular vehicle hadn’t even been built the last time I attended the meet!

If anyone is interested in the particularly rare E36 AMG in the back of that shot, the owner is a friend of mine and is selling it hehe

Good mix of cars as always yesterday smile

Tempted to go myself - what time does it start?

Edit - found the meet page via Google; 1630-2100, although from memory most start disappearing around 1930.

I’m planning on popping over for a bit later on. Hopefully the sunshine will bring out some good cars.

GF and I also planning on going and bringing along a couple of Holdens. I'm guessing they won't quite count for the 'Far East' theme though hehe

Popped down in the GR86, being as it’s Jap night. Great turnout - bloody warm, though! Had a wander round and now sat firmly down, cooling down!

They start leaving earlier than that, we've been a couple of times arriving at 6:30/6:45 only to find the field already starting to thin out already.
