The fees are a joke, I bought a plate at the last DVLA auction and been monitoring the last couple of days for bargains.

Yeah, but as long as you go in knowing the costs it's OK.

Some real mixed bags... saw some nice ones go for £550 - 600, and 500 M went for £30k!

Agreed, but the fees on mine were almost 1/3 of the cost of the plate. Still wouldn't stop me buying another though.
