....Tiger is the first billionaire sportsman fact...
Not yet. And with last few years of poor play and off course issues, his earning power has dropped a bit. Still, $600m is not bad really is it?Taking a lateral tilt to the OP title, bank account is gonna be the biggest gap between me and him!!

I think Forbes are reasonably reliable. And if he isn't a billionaire he is certainly the richest sportsman.

"...Between Winfrey and Robert Johnson, in second place is golf phenom Tiger Woods, worth an estimated $600 million." But both are a little out of date in 2009.
I love the quote from your link, "...Sharply-dressed, well-behaved and, if a little private, a marketing man's dream,"
OOOPS!
His 2011 estimated net worth was between $600m and $750m and he doesn't appear in Forbes current list of worlds billionaires. I guess depending on which article you read, and how much they estimate his divorce settlement was the number varies between $600m - $750m.
Id still be pretty chuffed with 1% of either number.
Just my 2p from experience of doing both...
Grip strength training (have competed in the nationals) and arm wrestling (have not competed in a national or international competition - however have been served by guys half my weight and strength by pure and absolutely devastatin technique.
To exemplify grip strength stuff - can an ordinary person rip a deck of cards in half?

I once played 5-a-side against the Notts County backroom boys (the youngest was probably 50). We were fit 18-25 year olds and thought we were quite good. 7 minutes a half. By half time, they were beating us 9-0 and hadn't even broken sweat. Final score 10-1.
A round of golf is also a good call, but an amateur's best hole on a course could equal or better a professional (which is what makes it such a good game). I played Celtic Manor in 2005 and I know that I scored better than some of the pros (Ryder Cup 2010) on some of the holes, but my overall round score was about 40 behind theirs.

If our managers organise it I might be part of a team playing the Shorpe United team in a few weeks time - else it'll just be the YTs again - in a pre-season friendly. (We lost 2-1 to them last year.)
I agree with some of the comments about football. You could sort of carry a decent county level footballer in a League team, but that's not to say they wouldn't be quite a bit out of their depth. When it's whole team against whole team though it's another matter. A team of very similar standard to us (same league) played the SUFC first team last year and lost 0-7. We're six divisions below League One.

But golf isn't played over a hole, it's played over 4 rounds in a competition. It's like me saying The gap between amateur and professional football is tiny because I once scored a 35 yard volley like ronaldo (which I did incidentally, marvellous shot). That one time I ran up, set myself up and struck the ball perfectly, that's similar to playing a good hole of golf in that it's an important part of that game, but it's still only a tiny part of it. pimpin gimp said:
