Snooker World Championship

Good program.
Interesting to see Davis, Hendry and Sullivan could all have won far more world titles, bar some careless last-frame shots.
Lauren Higgins (daughter of Alex) looked surprisingly rough but hot.
Some random Googling during the show turned up this mad robot interview from Sullivan back in Feb 2017. Mental but funny. The sport will miss him when he's gone.

In my youth I was a Hendry fan, and didn't much care for Ronnie. Now I can't see past him. He's box office in a sport which isn't exactly the most dynamic.
Couldn't watch today. Fu v Robertson? Battle of the bores? Hawkins v Dott- the B team slug it out?
Give me some something extra ffs. Brecel was very good, quick with a bit of personality. Yan Bingtao was impressive but couldn't get the better of the fat ginge. Maguire and Allen always seem walking a temper tightrope. Wenbo is a legend.
It's a shame Poomjaeng isn't there.

Robertson's a pure weirdo. Plus if you're going to shout and give it the big un you really should follow it through.
Well done Marco. I'll be trying to avoid him and Selby though. That's got tedium written all over it. Selby could bore anyone off the table.
I usually subscribe to the Hendry way of thinking which seems to be; if they aren't going hammer and tongs at it and knocking in centuries then I'm not interested. Well done Marco. I'll be trying to avoid him and Selby though. That's got tedium written all over it. Selby could bore anyone off the table.
Despite that, and as I think I've said a few times in this thread, I like Fu. I don't see him as a really boring and negative player like Selby, I just see him as someone who wants to calmly build a break and I'm alright with that.
If Ding brings his A game then him vs Sullivan could be a good one. Looking forward to Hawkins and Maguire too.

Australia’s former world snooker champion Neil Robertson says an addiction to video games across his career has harmed both his professional and personal life.
The 35-year-old Melburnian says longstanding obsessions with the Fifa football games, World of Warcraft and League of Legends deprived him of sleep and adversely affected his performances.

“In the past, I’ve been staying up and playing it. Then all of a sudden, it is 6am, the birds are tweeting and I’m thinking: ‘Oh my God, I’ve got to get up in a couple of hours to take my son Alexander to school. Then I’ve got to practise’.”
Robertson said on one snooker trip to China he became anxious when he was unable to join his “raid team” in a game of World of Warcraft. “When I got out there, the connection was so bad that I couldn’t get access,” Robertson said. “I was furious for four or five days. All I was thinking about was getting back home for a connection from China. I lost my spot on the team, and all of a sudden that became more important than the snooker, which is absolutely crazy.”

I make fairly quick judgements on people and I've always thought him a bit of a weirdo. He looks a bit emo and plays computer games til the sun comes up. The guy at school who got pencils stuck up his nose. The sort of guy who could take his warcraft fantasies into real life and shoot up a playground. If that's narrow minded, so be it.
It's going to be very difficult for Ronnie to come back now - Ding looks to be in great form.
Also looks like John 'butter wouldn't melt' Higgins is through to the semi finals. Still can't believe the BBC and the snooker establishment in general just fawn over him like they do and act like nothing ever happened despite his past.
So potentially a semi final line up of:
Ding vs Selby
Higgins vs Hawkins/Maguire
