But Teagues? One should have fixed chokes, if one was to do this proper like
I suspect that I will put 1/2 and 3/4 then never change (my Berettas are fixed choke). However, I do some quite high pheasant and I'd like to go full/full for those days. If I was proper posh, I'd have various pairs with different fixed chokes. But Teagues? One should have fixed chokes, if one was to do this proper like

Are they internal or extended chokes? I use a fixed 1/2 chokes for all events, a pain when shooting close birds / clays but adds to the entertainment. PS seriously jealous, but I will continue with my HPX Perazzi I've had shot guns for a few years now. After spending a couple of hours plinking with a friends Ruger 10/22 I'm hooked, just filled in my application for my firearms cert. Hopefully if I get it posted this week my license might arrive in time for me to buy myself a Christmas rifle!
Anyone else have a 10/22? I'd love to see some pictures of them along with any mods you can recommend.

I've had one for many years and it's been faultless.Anyone else have a 10/22? I'd love to see some pictures of them along with any mods you can recommend.
The basic design lends itself to all kinds of shooting. You only have to look around at all the different add-ons and options available and you can build exactly the rifle you need for your purpose.

Don't have a 10/22 but a few guys I shoot with use them and they always seem to run well.
What have you applied for guns wise and are you joining a club or shooting over land?
Thats what i found, I've used semi auto .22's before and found they jammed or misfired quite a bit but the 10/22 shot really nice, we must have put 2-300 rounds through it in a couple of hours without any jams. What have you applied for guns wise and are you joining a club or shooting over land?
I read on lots of places its better to ask for everything you think you might want rather than spend time and money on variations so I've applied for a .22 semi (a 10/22 probably), a .22 bolt action (I was thinking a CZ but after using the semi auto, I'm not sure a bolt action is worth having as well) and a .308. My friend has a .223 so I can use that when we go together as well.
I've joined a club and have completed my probation so that shouldnt be an issue.
Thats one question I did have actually that someone might help me out with. If I was to find somewhere to shoot rabbit with the .22LR, would this be a variation? and I guess the land would need inspecting and approving for that use by a fire arms officer?
Just put .22 Rifle twice if you have not already sent it off.
Don't put the action type as they might state that on your FAC then you limit yourself to that action.
Generally speaking if your grant is for "target shooting" you will need to get a variation for shooting over land. Most FACs for target shooting are locked down to shooting at your club or other approved / suitable place. Might be worth discussing with the FEO when they visit as that's the time you can negotiate things. They might have an issue with lack of experience but you never know, they will probably want references, land detail etc. Might delay your grant but worth asking the question.

I'm glad I've always had fixed chokes really, if I was able to change them I think I'd constantly be mucking about with them and thinking "if only I had a different choke in I'd have hit that"
Another advantage can be the it that no screw in chokes and more traditional barrells (not of the monobloc type) makes for a lighter gun, an desirable feature for a game gun for those of us whom aren't trying to bash high pheasants in Wales with heavy loads etc
