I can't be doing with that bks. I just accepted that handguns were banned and moved on.

I hated shooting revolvers even before the coat hanger/rifle length barrel era anyway, so not going anywhere near one of those ghastly contraptions... rage

Muzzle loading fine too.

I have a 6 inch revolver in .357 and its classed as a muzzle loader.

Uses shotgun primers and green dot powder. You press the rounds into the cylinders.

Its a bit of a fiddle but shoots like a "real" revolver.

That's fine, I get my fix from 1911's so not much newer than what you guys have.

My bits turned up:

Well, that was easy.

Now to get an optic for it.

Nice.

Should have moved to the states when I had the chance.

I do like ARs in FDE I must say. A guy at my club has one and when you see it against a black one it looks so much cooler, which is what its all about right biggrin

My next one will be FDE.

But they aren't though (except the BP stuff, which is even more of a faff) laugh

I'd happily give up most (not all) of the rifles to have a 1911 again, but it ain't going to happen.

FDE also reduces scary black rifle syndrome (SBRS), not to be confused with SBR. Which makes it easier to sell to the wife...

Browning B525 sporter 1 ordered today.
Am hoping it's as nice to shoot as my Winchester select sporting. That was a great gun but I hated the "topcote" extra wood type finish.

Found a bargain on a new lightweight mountain rifle to carry up big hills looking for deer, tahr etc... Savage Mod.16 Lightweight Hunter in 308. I would have preferred the wooden version (which I have in 223 and its lovely) but this one popped up at a bargain price (handled but unfired shop display rifle for half the RRP) so I grabbed it, stainless will be pretty practical for the backcountry.

Once I throw a scope on (planning to swap the Bushnell Elite 3-9x40 from another rifle I'm intending to sell) I'll find out how it shoots, if its anything like my other Savages I won't have anything to complain about.

Supported my LGS; cheaper than paying shipping. Nipped in on the way back from the dentist, picked up a vertical foregrip.

Still debating optics.

Picked up the B525 sporter 1 today. Feels great in my hands. Will be hitting pigeons with it tomorrow I hope.

Continued zeroing the Tikka T1x as well. Getting there but the trigger needs a dose of looking at. It feels fine but is far to heavy for me just now.

What about an ACOG or is that too pricey?

I've already got a second mortgage.

Actually - damn you /r/gundeals - I've been debating various red dots, but been afraid of finding that I've got astigmatism (funky enough glasses prescription for me not to be surprised if that's the case, though it's not shown itself yet) and it being a waste of money, so been dithering about red dots, HWS, or single power optics.
r/gundeals had the sig romeo 5 for ~$100 (20% off). They also had the vortex spitfire 1x prism scope on offer for $150 (normally $350). So after lots of wavering...I naturally bought both.

Gives me a budget red dot to play around with and potentially stick on a 10/22 if I ever get round to picking up one, and a prism scope in case my eyes really are that crap.

If both turn out to be crap, I'll go look at the Spitfire 3x if I want better magnification, and try an eotech in person if I feel flush (or go for the UH-1, depending if there's better deals).

I saw this one on Amazon and the reviews seem pretty good for a budget red dot.

There is also this for $1277...

I nearly bought the TRS-25 last night, but it's been replaced by the TRS-26.

Also, by the time you add a mount to it, it's a similar price ($96?) as the Sig.

As for the other....that's over priced, even for an ACOG.

Top tip - don't use a .co.uk address to order from optics planet.

I've got a 4x32 ACOG, it's a pleasure to use, sharp and bright. Get the right optic for the shooting you are going to do, as an example a 1x red dot is great if you only shoot close range, but at 300 yards it is out of it's depth.

I doubt I'll be sitting beyond 100 yards, hence looking at low powered optics
