Show me how, had the current legislation been applied properly, this would have still occurred and then we can talk about changing the current legislation, otherwise, shouldn't we be asking difficult questions of the Plymouth Police Authority, not trying to deflect the blame onto the unprotected minority?
Since when has common sense and logic ever been applied to UK Firearms legislation?

Was talking to a few guys at my clay club last weekend, who said the same thing with the ones they are involved with.

Not exactly the same, but purchased 1000 cartridges for the boy’s upcoming Olympic Trap shoots and costs have definitely jumped on them!

Pluses and minuses though as since he’s shooting OT I’m now shooting less as I can’t keep up with him rofl

Yeah cost do seem to be rising rather fast. My wife and I have ‘Platinum Membership’ where we shoot. This basically meant you can buy 1000 clays and 1000 cartridges (choice of a couple types, i always took fiocchi blacks) for near as dam it £500 quid 25p a clay and 25p a cartridge.

The new rates as of last week are here. As you can see quite a jump in price. That’s a £34 price jump, November last year that was down at £480, so a £54 jump in 3 months.

I’m assuming Ukraine and Russia firing huge amounts at each other has put the price of the raw materials up…

I wish my local ground still did membership as it's only <10 mins away so ideal for regular practice.. We did enquire and they said it's not really worthwhile them doing it..

We don't really get to any other grounds enough for membership to be cost effective.

On cartridges though we got 500 Hull Comp-X and 500 Sporting 100 for £260 total which seems decent..

That seems a decent price for the cartridges. I was using sporting 100’s and like them. I am now using Gamebore Evo’s and can’t tell the difference, and they are a little cheaper.

Nearly everyone I shoot with use superfast with out problems. But I have alway had regular issues with them not firing, not sure why, and that’s using several guns, so not a gun issue.

I think we've shot about 1000 Hull so far as Superfast, Comp-X and now Sporting and not had any bad cartridges - touch wood.

One guy that I was shooting the clay snooker with yesterday was commenting that it looked like my gun was firing confetti laugh but then he was shooting without eye or ear protection so I'll take the comment with a pinch of salt...

Not unusual for people to see that if you’re using fibre wads. My sporting 100’s look like that when I shoot.

I've shot 1000's of Hull Superfast through my B725, and only once have I had a problem, and that was one hang-fire and failure to fire, so two rounds, but out of same box, in all that time.

Ar, I'm not really fussed what it looks like as long as the shot comes out okay laugh my local ground allows plastic but all the others we've been to are fibre-only, so if I'm buying larger quantities it makes sense to just stick with fibre

I don't want to come across as some kind of Hull fanboy, but I've yet to have a problem with any Hull cartridge - Superfast, High Pheasant, Comp X and others in regular use.

The only "trouble" I've ever seen with a Hull shell was when a guy I shoot with had two misfires from the same box (Comp X 21gr). It put him off using them again. I'm not sure if it wasn't his gun not striking them properly.

I can't recall now what he did with the shells. The odd time I've had a misfire I'll bring them home and fire them again (I have land to shoot on). Sometimes they go bang, sometimes they don't.

Benelli semis are all inertia driven I believe.

How are they for recoil compared to a gas operated gun?

Looks good! What’s the idea behind mounting the gun broken?

More recoil than a gas gun. That being said still less than an O/U and much less than a SXS. Plus the Benelli stock is set up to absorb recoil. Although I'll bash clays with it, it's primary purpose is a workhorse for crow and pigeon shooting.

Much simpler to take apart and clean.

My gun was set up for LH shot and with lowest comb setting. Took me 5 minutes with a 13mm wrench to switch to RH cast and a higher comb setting.

Slightly deceiving picture that - with OT you have 12 seconds to mount and hold before calling for the clay.
Everyone has a different process and my boy holds the stock close in to the shoulder as he closes it - then mounts it properly and moves to the hold point.

He still very early on in this discipline and will no doubt refine this going forward

Interesting. I haven’t shot trap before.
