The PH Gun Cabinet - Shooting Matters
Discussion
Same thing with one of the FB woodpigeon groups posting huge kill bags and people bragging. Antis love that sort of stuff. One guy who regularly shoots thousands per season had 700+ days and posted every picture of them thrown in huge clumps prior to removal.
The fact he sells to a game dealer wasn't visible in the pics which can be reused by the wrong people if needed.

Game shooting needs to keep its act in order from game bird rearing all the way to the plate if we are to have any chance of dealing with these challenges. This was the first season I heard credible accounts, rather than rumours of birds being disposed of. If the big boys with their 500 bird days and helicopters don't sort themselves out the small 30-40 bird syndicates like mine will be finished - either banned outright or regulated out of viability

You’d think they’d do basic research first.
You only have to look around at all the young career politcians that have never had a real job, and they are cut from the same cloth as the activist anti's, they aren't interested in anything other that they own similar political agenga's and beliefs.
Having to rethink my shooting due to a back issue and have handed in all my guns for valuation or sale.
The 22 and the 243 will go, along with my sporter 12b and an air rifle.
Keeping my Daystate Mk4is and am hoping to get enough cash for the new Browning B525 sporter laminate.
Going back to Clays pigeons and rabbits.
Deer on the hills is too hard on my back and hips these days.

So Switzerland, a country with an assault rifle in every closet and a huge gun culture, where happy people go to the range with no issues and fewer murders than Sweden have given up their gun rights to join the EU.
Regulation will be brought in. It will get stricter every 5 years until the country is in line with every other EU country.

I was going to post on Friday that the lever release / MARS ban has been voted through.
There is no buy back tariff as of yet but its probably going to cost the tax payers millions.
I really hope that the massive price increases that SGC put in place about a year ago mean that owners get > 100% of the cost of their rifles.

Renewal due this year for FAC and shotgun. Do the police send out reminders generally in advance or do I need to do anything yet? 5 months left.
Depends on how good or not your force is with processing times. Some forces that are a bid err.......slow, and they say to put in for the renewal about 4+ months ahead of the expiry date.Gassing Station | Sports | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
