Great bit of riding today by someone written off....
Indeed, I honestly couldn't believe those people who thought Peter Sagan wouldn't win another pro race!!Sagan put in a true masterclass yesterday he looked well and truly elated at the end.
Class act.
He may not have been winning, but always displayed amazing consistency, generally coming in top 10 in races or stages (on the right terrain). Even the points jersey competitions he is fighting for the win.
This is a professional cycling thread, right? Can we have a bit of appreciaton for your new 2020 UCI Elite mens DH World Champion - Reece Wilson - Team GB.
Absolutely epic race at Leogang last weekend, he was looking incredible all weekend. And has gone straight into P1 in qually at the first round of the world cup yesterday too...

So, Giro in the books and 1) very glad to see an unexpected Ineos win (????) and 2) the fact I don't have to listen to the drivel from Rob(?) on Eurosport any more.
He repeats himself.
He repeats himself.
He uses different words to say the same thing again.
He excitedly repeats the same thing that his colleague has just said, quite often talking over the top of him to do so.
He has such a crush on Nibbles it's ridiculous "THERE'S A SHARK IN THE WATER" "THE SHARK SMELLS BLOOD" and so on. Nibbles has done nothing of note in the last few years, but this guy trots him out in commentary every damn day for doing nothing.
Thank christ Ned and David are back for the Vuelta.

Vuelta.
Anyone following the Vuelta?
Could you explain to me what the complaints were, and what the protest was about on Friday? Or was it Saturday?
I think GCN explained it that as it was a sprint stage a rider had to finish within 3seconds of the rider ahead to maintain the same time as them (guess this is a safety thing to get the peloton out of the way). After the race they then announced it was actually 1 second - which caused several riders to loose time on GC and handed Roglic the red jersey as Carapaz lost 10s due to the changeAnyone following the Vuelta?

Sad to see Ian Stannard has announced his retirement from the sport due to rheumatoid arthritis.
My kids LOVE Ian Stannard. I think it's because they can pronounce his name, he rides for Sky, and I showed them his two wins from the Tour of Britain on YouTube one wet afternoon.I think they understood that he's a massive team player, so whilst he may not have the palmares of some riders, there are a lot of riders who wouldn't have their palmares without him. (See also Michel Kwiatkowski.) So instrumental in much of the Sky / Ineos success, particularly in the first half of his time with them. I wish him well. If he reads this. Which he probably won't.

I'll pass on your wishes, I work for the team and you're right about the work he's done for a lot of other riders. He was in the office yesterday and it's really sad to think we won't see him smashing it on the front again. Hope we can get him to pass on his experience to the younger lads and stay with the team in some capacity.
Thanks!
