I thought he held it together well - for a good minute I thought it was going to be an implosion and he would start just pedaling squares, but he seemed to rally and not actually lose that much time - could have been a lot, lot worse. Good job he had Martinez with him.
Big shakeup in the GC, but other than showing a bit of weakness (which everyone else in the GC has already done), Bernal is still in pretty much the same position that he was in at the start of the day.
Its an easy day today, so in theory a recovery, but still a very long day in the saddle.
I still think he's pretty much got it in the bag, if Bernal was worse at TTing and it was someone like Thomas snapping at his heels I might have a different opinion, but I think he will hold it together and just sit on wheels to get to the TT with time in hand. Of course, could be wrong and it all goes wrong in the mountains. To be honest, would be happy with him or Yates to win - both very deserving and both I think unfairly written off at times and could do with the vindication.

Pleased for Richie Porte, despite him being an Aussie.
G looks on good form for the TdF in three weeks time too.
Agree about Richie.G looks on good form for the TdF in three weeks time too.
Hope so about G, but he didn't dominate there in the mountains and Pog and Rog I imagine will be better than those who he was up against.
Cav at the tour, hope he gets a couple! https://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/mark-cavendish-...

It's good but if I had to choose I'd rather Sam Bennett was there to defend the jersey.
Same here. I think Bennett would have done well again this year.I wonder how Michael Mørkøv would feel having Cavendish dropped in as main sprinter, rather than him promoted up. It’s a bit rubbish that for last lead out men it’s a case of “once a bride...”.

Over the moon for this. If he wins or loses, its a great comeback and a much needed personality JuniorD said:

The leadout guys generally have a slightly different skillset to the primary sprinter.
I'm sure if Cab fails to be competitive he'll get a go at it.
