Wow didn't see that coming. Best of luck to him. Sounds like a very clever bloke.

Don't know why it took him so long to choose. I was all set to be the finest batsman the world has ever seen but shrewdly opted to "pre-retire" and become a fat middle-manager before I even started playing at a serious level.

Probably realised he wasn't going to make it in a big way and couldn't face the slog of county cricket for practically no money.

Unusually talented bloke I guess. Taste of the top flight maybe not as good as he thought it might be. Injuries took their toll on him too I think? -Good on him for having the guts and clarity on doing something completely different. I remember someone on TMS remarking what a calm and measured individual he was even around the time of his test debut. Tough on Surrey though regardless of how philosophical and supportive Alec Stewart has been.

So there's some rumours that apparently the Indians may boycott the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy.

Notts are currently 349-3 with 9 overs remaining yikes

Gotta feel for the poor bowlers in the modern one day game.

Looks like India want (even) more of the funding as they bring in most of the money, but they're on their own now as Australia and England have agreed with everyone else to a more equitable split,

Was at Cardiff for T20 today. Amazed at how assured and fluent Malan looked. England were so sharp in the field. Not sure if Butler's been working on his keeping but alongside captaining well, the glovework was very smooth and switched on.

Shame we haven't seen much of Livingstone yet, looking forward to Crane developing his game -stuck at it well after AB clonked him around.

Fun match to be at.
