Sometimes a low scoring game is much more entertaining than high scoring

Take a bow Joss Buttler!! Missed out in the runfest but stepped up and delivered when needed. Well played.

I've watched cricket since the late seventies at Taunton, the Somerset glory days with Botham, Richards and Garner.

I'd have Buttler in my all time Somerset XI and he wouldn't be far away from my all time England XI too. Such a clever cricketer and there's no one better at the end to take a team over the finishing line. Brilliant player and by all accounts, a good egg in the dressing room.

Agreed, what an awesome player. I am so pleased Morgan has found a way to shut the blazers up and just pick on raw talent. Buttler, Hales nd Roy so much better than when we had Cook, Bell and Trott in the ODI side.

As someone who does not like Australia to win ever I wish they had won today, as they put up a great fight fairly and got knocked down by one man.

After all the scandals of the past I think Tim Paine is a good captain and so due to that a win today would be fitting. It was not to be.

I hope they do not get rid of him and go back to the old days, they are lacking team members so sure they will not.

Well done England, both with bat and foot ball today.

Butler had a dream day yesterday, a great stumping, a great run out, a century and England won..

Might have to get an England ODI shirt with "Whitewash 18" on the back before my trip to Oz in a few weeks.

I can't believe they sent Root in ahead of Bairstow. I like Joe Root, but he's too much of a plodder for T20.
