Yep, possibly, Flanagan is probably the best prograis has faced up to know, although he dispatched indongo in very efficient fashion and Indongo is no mug. Prograis certainly has the edge in tats and self confidence though if you ask me and seems quite keen to end most of his fights ASAP. We'll see, now Ryan Burnett is out I can't see anything but Taylor and Prograis in the final.

I only caught the last round, but was the ref a little hasty on stopping it? Or was it just one way traffic for the whole fight?

Taylors movement is good and his ability to pick a punch is right up there with the best in the game.

Staggering that he has that much maturity in so few professional fights.

Josh is a special talent, he's got the skill, speed, height, size, power, and last but not least definitely has the spite and mean streak needed, something massively lacking in Ryan Martin last night.

He can box at distance, or go to war on the inside, times punches so well in both instances and is a viscous puncher, especially to the body.

That was one of the most one sided fights of 2018- Martin threw one punch in round 1, and by round 3 was shaking his head in the corner and looking for a way out. Took a relentless, sustained beating and could not hide how happy he was for the fight to be over.

Prograis is very fluid, slick fighter and carries power. Not going to be as easy to hit, Taylor seems to be durable though and can fight at a very good pace going into the late rounds. Will be a great fight.

Don't know a lot about the guy he's fighting in the semi final though Is he dangerous? Russian and world champion so probably the answer to that is YES!

Rules yet to be confirmed. I'm guessing "no kicking" will be somewhere towards the top ..

It could make sense with modified rules. He can't modify it too much, otherwise there would be some serious backlash. Something like no leg kicks and grappling for 1 minute at a time would suit him. I think CroCop had modified rules when he first started out, since he was a kickboxer and most of his matches had limited grappling times. Over time, he did full on MMA.

Of course Floyd wouldn't sign up for something he didn't know he couldn't win. My guess is that he's been training in secret ever since he announced about a year ago that he was going to do MMA. He's also fighting a guy who is considerably smaller than him. He's basically had 1 year to become good enough to stuff takedowns and check leg kicks. He's a good enough athlete to pull it off against a smaller opponent.

Or it could be 1 massive fix.

I'll be tuning in. I quite like these freak show fights. It's all entertainment at the end of the day.

absolute guarantee it will be hands only...no way is floyd going to allow the possibility of having to do something the other guy is better at!

I actually think it wont just be 1 fight. the talk of future suggests hes aiming to prove something there.

Fight 1 - boxing
Fight 2 - no kicks above waits?

I have absolutely no interest in this or the man himself.

It's the leg kicks which will cripple him. Normal kickboxing rules are above waist kicks only, kicking to the head is devastating but incredibly hard to do. Only Mhuy Thai and MMA allow leg kicks (there are some minor promotions that do in kick boxing).

What we'll get here is a standard kick boxing bout with 14 oz gloves maybe over 5 rounds instead of 3.

Well we found out who would win between one of the best boxers of this generation vs a guy making his pro boxing debut.

So now we do need to find out who will win between a 21 year old making their pro boxing debut who is at least 20lb lighter than one of the best boxers of a generation.

The big question for me is how much is he getting paid?

He must have some money troubles (relative obviouslysmile)to be going there on new years eve and potentially lining up the rematch with Manny.

His money situation seems to be a regular subject of speculation.....even with all he has earnt it seems he has a very very expensive lifestyle which is sustainable once you stop earning vast sums. All speculation of course . Who knows.
