Stick to your strengths, I think AJ simply has to go in looking for a knockout and jump on Wlad before he gets into a rythm.

I'm close to sticking a tenner on Wlad.
I think it'll be cagey in the opening third ... AJ will not go looking for the big one from the start, he'll be too wary of getting tagged.

I've got WK in rounds 7 or 8 ...

I have no idea what I'm talking about though probably ... could go either way - at any time!

Don't think I've seen much comment implying AJ is bigger than Wlad; more that Wlad won't hold the physical advantage over AJ that he's held over probably the bulk of his opponents.
My bad!

Few of us are going. Got great tickets through Eddie. Sorted us out for the Golovkin Brook fight too. Wasn't all that bothered but I'm looking forward to it now.

Click on 'any tickets' and then on the Letters on the map.

In terms of being up close:
G: £650
N: £575
Q: £599

EE is £282

All the grey ones have tickets available, albeit may just be the one.

i was watching the joshua documentary that was on the bbc..."road to klitschko".....cracking show if you never saw it. catch up on sky recommended...

joshua comes across really well in it..one thing i noticed was that how wlad was subliminally trying to control him in the pressers etc......at the one in cologne he was subtly touching him to move him and telling him to back up/move forward etc.

i don't think he'll fall for it but it was fascinating to watch. the clip where the cameras were in his flat showed that he has a signed glove from wladimir on his mantle......it doesn't "worry" me per se but i do know he respects him tremendously.....i hope he doesn't respect him too much though....because if he does he'll fall under the spell.....

obviously, from the last 10 years i've been posting in here we all know who i want to win, ....but i really don't want either of them to lose!!!...

i'd love it if wlad were to win then retire and be an advisor to team joshua.....i noticed in the show at one of the pressers he said the timing of the fight was perfect as in 3 years time he'd be too old and anthony WOULD BE TOO GOOD!.....

If WK does get involved with Joshua's career later on, let's hope it's more successful than the David Price/Lennox Lewis collaboration for the second Thompson fight!

I noticed some of the same in the 'The Gloves Are Off' interview with Nelson.

As you said, very subtly reaffirming the master / student relationship, which Joshua sometimes seemed to almost ignore but a couple of times he almost acknowledged his position in the response he gave...but then maybe he knew exactly what he was doing and it was all water off a duck's back to him.

I watched that too...great program to watch.

AJ comes across as a sound guy; still very humble - perhaps a little green too.

I want Wlad to win - purely as he's a similar age to me and I'd like to see the old champ come good. If WK does win I can see it going the distance.

I've noticed since 35 (now 43) that age does play a factor in physical performance as well as feeling pain.

I had my jaw broke in a scrap in my 20's - had lip stitched up and jaw wired and I was right as rain in 3 weeks; no issues with confidence etc
Last year I slipped off the summer house roof, fell 4 foot and broke 2 ribs - Although I'm healed I still ache and a bit wary of falling again.

With age reactions slow, healing takes longer and the hubris of youth disappears. I wonder how WK is going to handle the fear of getting hurt and beaten?
I think WK has a lot more to lose than AJ

I'd be gutted if AJ wiped the floor with him and knocked him out badly - I suspect this is quite likely

The acid test is when they're in the ring receiving ref's instructions. Wlad doing his dead eyes face with his terminator brother behind him doing the same.

There is no doubt Tyson Fury ruffled Vlad when they fought, the last minute faffing over the ring flooring, the messing about with the wraps, the random daftness at the pressers, he upset Vlad and his camp and created disharmony in "the force". I can't tell you that it effected Vlad's performance but it can't have helped. AJ won't be doing that, the event will run like clockwork and Vlad will be given all the respect and distance he wants. So this will be a true test of physical sporting and boxing ability, quite possibly not as exciting a contest but the anticipation and the sheer unpredictability of the result itself is what has created the draw and all the interest.

If AJ does bang him out he HAS to go down as one of the biggest hitters in history, right up there with a young George Foreman if Vlad can jab and hold AJ, defend himself and wear him down in the early rounds then he must go down as one of the cleverest and most technically proficient boxers of all time, there is so much at stake in this fight, so much unknown about what each will do tactically and how they will stand up physically to the punishment from the other - it's genuinely the fight of the decade for me.

Fight of the decade?

Bitter experience tells me that heavyweight contests rarely live up to their billing these day.

Be nice to be proved wrong though.

I saw that program on AJ too the other night and yep he came across very well. This a is toughy like, I guess I'm just about wavering on the WK side to win and if he does I hope he retires with the victory. I do think AJ will nudge it though.

I've put an Ayrton on a Wlad Points win, so that means it probably won't go past round 5 - one way or the other laugh

A big fight no doubt but nowhere near fight of the decade.

Apart from May Pac, what's bigger? Maybe May Canelo? The 90k gate itself makes it a juggernaut before PPV even comes into it.

This decade? 2007 to 2017. Can you think of anything bigger?

We won't know if it actually lives up to the billing until Saturday night but in terms of seats sold it's possibly the biggest fight ever, the PPV numbers won't hit what the big US fights make but that is sort of just down to the size and wealth of the US population (If they could get £1 of everyone who's going to watch the fight in Ukraine on a Kodi they'd beat the record twice over I suspect).

I honestly can't think of anything I've had more anticipation for, Groves/Froch for me was never really a world event, Quigg/Frampton was huge but the lower weights just don't have that same wow factor, Mayweather/Pac was never really going to deliver that much excitement, Canelo/Mayweather was huge but it was a US thing, I think you have to go back well over 10 years to cite a bigger fight and possibly back to Bruno vs Tyson 1 to find a heavyweight fight involving a Brit that is this big.

Anyway I'm excited so that might all be bks.
