I think it may depend on whether Wlad triggers the rematch clause. If he doesn't, then it's likely the WBA will ask Joshua to fulfil his mandatory for the 'super' belt against Ortiz. Also, I read the other day that the IBF have given Joshua 10 months to fulfil his mandatory against Pulev, so assuming they'd allow Joshua to fight in the meantime, he could conceivably take on Ortiz at the end of the summer, then fight Pulev at the end of the year/start of 2018 (should he still have the IBF belt at that stage).

If Klitschko does trigger the re-match clause, it's possible the WBA could dangle the 'regular' title as a carrot for Ortiz for him not to kick off about being asked to step aside so the rematch can happen with the main title on the line. Guarantee him a shot at the winner next (or he automatically gets upgraded to main champ should the winner vacate instead), plus I think he gets a better share of the purse fighting for the main title as the 'regular' champion than as a standard mandatory...

......which i suppose means we are waiting around until the middle of next week or later to find out as wlad won't be making an announcement until early june apparently...all makes perfect sense though pal, seems the most likely course of events

Slightly off topic - but i'm at Bramall Lane on Saturday night for the Brook fight.....

Any idea roughly what time the main fight will start and as such the latest finish time? - no times on the card that I can find & tickets have next to no info on them.

Yeah, get there early, sometimes get some cracking fights on the undercard and nice to say " I was there for xyz " before they became a megastar.

I think you'll struggle unless there is a very early knockout, normally don't start until late and you're in little streets that'll be crammed, just getting a taxi and getting to the station will likely take 20 minutes!

Exactly. I'll be at'lane as soon as the turnstyles open. Tickets are too expensive just to turn up for the main event. I the only time I'd reconsider this is going to one of Warren's marathon 15 fight cards.

He's a lad, the weigh in a few weeks ago when he turned up in the Rhino posing pouch was hilarious, you can't help but like him, and he may look a bit journey man at times and he's probably a bit small to be a heavyweight these days but his only losses to Whyte and Ortiz have not left him looking out of his depth, very possibly he could work his way into world level he could become very popular.
