Meh. I've got a weekend at Shrigley Hall next week.

If Fosters did holidays.....
That's about 20 mins from me, you might need hiking boots instead of golf shoes biggrin
Hilly or wet?!

Forecast isn't great for the next 10 days.
Certainly hilly in places, I'd recommend a buggy! Quite a nice track though, not long but pretty tight in places. Enjoy and I hope the weather holds off smile

8 of us going and currently arguing on whatsapp about the format and dodgy draw!

1 person dropped out and we have only just found a replacement, the thought did cross my mind of offering the spot to PH!
Haha we have the same argument every year biggrin

Well chuffed to bits. A cut from 10.6 to 9.6 at weekend. Here's hoping I can get another bit off in a few weeks.

Came 6th at the weekend with a nett 72 (gross 81), not bad considering I missed 3 or 4 2 foot putts frown

Spoke to my coach about it last night at my lesson, and he has ended up teaching me to use The Claw on short putts - felt VERY werid at first, but after a few strokes, I think I like it. I'm awaiting much abuse from my playing partners, but if it works...

Why thank you sir. 3 or 4 birdie chances missed too..... on 17 a pea soup North Sea haaar drifted in, could barely see 100 yards. Wasn't comfortable over the shot so instead of standing back and starting again I tried to hit it. Duck hooked out of bounds....... a salutory lesson learned. Again.

Played Silloth on Solway GC yesterday with a big group from work.

Very good course and almost perfect conditions for a links course. Front 9 was ok (considering I haven't played for 4 months) but I couldn't go wrong on the back 9. Few birdies, 6 inches off a hole in one on the 16th and bagged longest drive on the 18th winning some golf balls. Great day out all in all, especially as it was free!

Think I may start playing more this summer.....really got the bug back now.

Captains day tomorrow, drawn a good shotgun start hole just one hole from the clubhouse and on the west course so a little shorter and easier to score on!!!

Fingers crossed it all goes straight in the morning!

Pity both my dad and brother who have drawn the other course and are both just about as far away from the clubhouse as you can get! Haha

Well it didn't go straight...22 points must be a new low! Haha!

Thought I got nearest the pin (3ft, still missed the putt) but apparently not!

Played Conwy again on Sat, the wind was in a completely different direction than when I played it a few weeks ago and what a difference it made! It played much harder and the course was clearly designed for the wind to be in that direction! Played bobbins but enjoyed it smile

Went out of one of the match plays comps this weekend.

Really good match, but I unfortunately handed it to him. I had to give him 1 shot, but I was 2 up with 4 to play, then let it slip back to all square before winning the 17th. Made a complete mess of the 18th and then lost the first extra hole. Nightmare!

Shot 84, which included 2 triple bogeys. Should have put it to bed. Nevermind - still played some very good golf. Driver was on top form until the 15th.

Wow. It really was windy hehe

Played at Shrigly Hall over the weekend - got a good deal.

2 rounds, 3 course evening meal, breakfast and accomodation. £100 / head.

Course is ok - typical resort type course. Very hill. Legs are aching today.

Weather on Saturday was atrocious - absolutly soaked through about three times and hot sunshine in between - never took clothes on and off so often.

Macclesfield was an interesting night out too......

Old Head, just outside Cork

Trying to put a golf break together with a few friends in the next month or 2, the course looks stunning but is it any good?

Hiking boots needed biggrin

Macclesfield was not a good chice for a night out....Wilmslow or Alderley Edge would have been much better!
