We haven't really got a rugby thread have we.

Anyhoo. Anyone watching Glos v Blues? What a belter!

Good game - some lovely skills on show.

Did anyone see Willie Le Roux earlier?

I did schoolboy error! Actually I was also thinking that Moriarty made a similar mistake for Glos alas no replays...

Bit disappointed in the second half, seems the blues didn't leave the dressing room after half time.

Thought Leinster and Munster did well.

Especially as a Glos fan. Bit worried after the first half - 12 penalties or thereabouts, from memory. Much better in the 2nd.

Watching Osp vs Sta: two questions:

1. Who thought it would be a good idea to play in an empty Millennium Stadium?

2. How much does almost everything about Dan Biggar annoy me, but most especially his lack of respect for referees?

They are playing in the Millennium because Swansea are at home today in the Liberty. Euro rugby denied all their requests to switch the fixture to another day so they had to find somewhere else to play.

So a combination of switching the game to Cardiff and playing it at 5.45 on a Sunday evening results in the paltry crowd.

Ah, OK then. Ta.

Not an Ospreys fan, but it doesn't make the sport look good, even if not their fault.

No I agree. And the Stade guy not getting a red for a vicious blatant stamp doesn't help either.

Well second yellow for the stamper so justice is served.

I'm not sure it is. The stamp was quite clear. It was near the head. An inadvertent but casual high tackle can result in a yellow. It was hardly that mild. One wonders if the ref wasn't paying too much attention to the home crowd.

Poor refereeing. It's not as if it wasn't obvious on replay.

A clear red would have sent a signal. Not that the yellow didn't I suppose.

I really did feel for him on that. Shame it wasn't Chris Ashton, as if anyone deserves to drop a ball over the try line, it's him!

On related matters, Sarries basically beat Scotland at the weekend, didn't they?

How do we think someone like Wasps or Sarries would get on against one of the top 4 national sides? I guess in practice, it would be tricky to figure out what to do with players who play for both!

On other news, it seems Toulon have got shot of Mike Ford, with Cockers taking over until the end of the season.

Where next for Ford, one wonders?

I figured that persuading my wife it was a good plan for my youngest and I to have Quins season tickets was about as far as I could push it on the live match front! hehe

I have no idea why he wasn't given an instant red for that.
