Couldn't believe my eyes either! He even passed to May as well when coming out from his 22.

No clue why he doesn't do it more as he can clearly do it.

How the Argentine 2nd row stayed on the pitch after the 'tackle' on Hughes I will never know. Appalling refereeing.

You may be right. Whoever he was, he should have been red carded.

Agreed - It wasn't just dangerous it was outrageously cynical - he didn't even pretend to be legal by entering somewhere near the front he came in 3 people back. Had to be yellow.

I think this series victory is probably equal to, if not greater, than the Aussies series whitewash. Given the available players I think it was a really great 2-0 scoreline.

The odd thing is that he does pass quite frequently for Quins too...

Agreed.

It's also a blessed relief that the games were on terrestrial TV this time!

I've got no real interest in the Lions, and when England toured Argentina last during a Lions tour, the games were on Sky, and nowhere seemed to be showing them. frown

I have to say I wasn't overly impressed with Yarde or Slade TBH, still not convinced by May

I dont think they were on Sky - if I recall correctly no UK channel had the rights. I ended up watching on a dodgy Argentinian feed with non-english commentary!

They were, as I distinctly remember going up to our club to see if I could watch it there, thinking a rugby club of all places will be showing it, only to find out they'd let the place out for a private party, having not bothered to check England features because Lions! irked

I believe that Eddie Jones watches every game. If he wanted Mike Brown to pass the ball every time he gets his hands on it, then he would. I suspect that Eddie wants Mr Angry to run the ball at the opposition, take it into contact and set up a ruck.

No, he knows he's. on tV and is thicker than Haskell ( if that were possible). He runs into tacklers, falls over and wastes opportunities. Hence he's left at home.
Cuthbert the same...never ever looks inside or out. Mind blowingly frustrating.

If Jones didn't think that Mike Brown was the best option for England at full-back, he would pick somebody else. It's not as though there isn't anybody else available. Brown is playing as Jones wants him to.

He's frequently on TV playing for Quins as well, but that doesn't stop him playing very differently for club as opposed to country...

I have to say though that I can't understand how MB more often than not makes decent ground. I'm not talking about his overall stats (being a FB you are pretty much guaranteed to have good yardage) but once taking into contact - he always seems to make ground

that's why he's so frustrating.

He very often gets behind the defensive line where an offload could be killer but takes an extra contact and loses the opportunity.

Defensively he's good. He's good in the air. If he'd shown some of yesterday's offloading in the 6N he'd be in NZ from the start of the tour.
