Thats a tough call.
Biggest ever home loss or losing to Argentina.
I didnt go to the Argentina game so can't really compare - just looked online and that was on the back of 6 consecutive defeats though! Amazing we got to the RWC final the following year.
Anyone catch the Northampton game? One of the worst ever refereeing performances i've seen.

agree with you on the Northant's game, ref looked out of his depth with the intensity.
He totally bottled it - crowd were too much for him and he made wrong decision after wrong decision. The tv replay official didnt help. Needed someone strong to say "have another look at that" as the yellows were both wrong (one was nothing the other was a red). The ref is welsh as well so may just be a case of "anyone but England"
Interesting preparation to the Autumn internationals....

Anyone hear the 5 live rugby union podcast this week?
Monye explained the Yarde thing by saying that basically he was booted by the club for being lazy and ill disciplined.
He was given a load of breaks and had pissed off the rest of the team!
I read the article in the Times which made the point that he's in a rich vein of form but is (basically) such a tt he was shifted on. Shame Monye explained the Yarde thing by saying that basically he was booted by the club for being lazy and ill disciplined.

Agreed, in good form at the moment, but unfortunately I don't think he ever delivered on the promise shown at Irish. Indy & Telegraph say training sessions were missed without good reason, including one pre season, which led to him being dropped from a training camp. Comment from Kingston was something along the lines of "...we'll always do what's in the best interests of Harlequins football club..." to which some wag in the comments section had replied "in which case why don't you resign?" Have to say, I'm losing patience with Kingston & wonder if a bucketload of tries from Worcester means Nick Easter is in the wrong job. Great servant to the club etc, but our defence has been poor this year.
Whilst I don't necessarily disagree, I do sometimes wonder how much extra stick Kingston comes in for because he looks like a decomposing hippo. After all, there were never so many calls for Conor to go, and when was the last time he'd got Quins into Champions Cup rugby?El stovey said:
I notice pretty much everyone has at least one 4-day turnaround. Oh look... Japan have two seven day and two eight day turnarounds!

Fair point about the champions Cup - I definitely view the "glory years" of 2011, 12, 13 through rose tinted lenses & you're right about perception: Kingston just doesn't exude confidence & leadership in front of the camera's, when compared to Conor. I used to really enjoy his occasional "some people need to take a good look at themselves....some people need to decide if they want a future here...", outbursts! Phud said:
Let's see how he goes on at Sale, I thought there were rumours about him going to France next year.
I do think however he is not among the top ten wingers that England have to choose from, but as a welshman, do like it when you play him.
Likewise - I wish the guy well & think it was a shame for both sides, that it wasn't workable. Even as a quins fan I've never understood why Jones kept picking him, given the other options, or even Brown over Goode, but, unbelievably, Eddie Jones seems to know more about these things than I do...!I do think however he is not among the top ten wingers that England have to choose from, but as a welshman, do like it when you play him.

I went to an Eddie Jones thing at Bagshot a couple of months ago. Fascinating. One of the questions was 'Harlequins don't do all that well, they are about middle of the table, yet you seem to choose a disproportionate number of Harlequins players?' (Or words to that effect).
Eddie said 'They train and play in a very nice part of the country. Everything is very comfortable. It's a good way to earn your living'. (Or words to that general effect)
Which I took to mean that the Quins players have it too easy. You could get more out of them.
I do tend to agree about Kingston's appearance. Why has he taken to wearing a jacket and tie?
