I was really hoping Wasps would pull off a miracle against Sarries, but sadly not to be, so I guess I'll have to support Exeter as the most likely to beat them at Twickenham!

I thought they have given notice that they are to be banned.

Stats show significantly more injures in matches played on artificial pitches.
Really? I know they'd shown they cause more injuries, but hadn't seen anything about banning them.
They probably haven't and my memory is failing me (again).

Harlequins are approaching RFU about releasing Paul Gustard, not great to lose a defence coach a year out from world cup. Maybe England could nab Shaun Edwards as a replacement as he also interviewed. wink .....
From my understanding a move works better for Gustard and his family however it doesn't reflect well on the England setup and mentality that someone would be prepared to move at this time.

Have you seen the burns the Scarlets picked up on Glasgow's pitch!!!

Add to that Jack Willis being out for up to a year after injuring his knee at Sarries, with the role of that pitch bring brought up, and I could see lots of pressure building to rip the nasty things out.

If that does happen though, one wonders if those clubs who have them will go seeking compensation from world rugby.

TBH I can see it from Gustard's P.o.V. but you are right, it does seem that all is not well in the England camp at the moment (thought being said the defence in the 6N wasn't the best so perhaps a shake-up is what was needed?)

Tickets bought for Twickenham in L7, I missed the victory last year by going to watch the other half of Exeter lose at Wembley.

Hoping lightning can strike twice and repeat last years result instead of the year before.

Come on Exe!

They need to make a quick decision on this. I think Musgrave in Cork (Munster’s alternative venue) is currently being converted to artificial

Asides from that, looking forward to the Pro14 final tomorrow, Leinster aiming for the double! Hopefully will be a cracker of a match

Pretty poor by England. Bunch of blokes entirely unfamiliar with each other train/booze for a week and then thoroughly embarrass Eddie's mob. Regardless of the youngsters and fringe players, England look lost at sea half the time.

I do wonder what Eddie Jones does with his famously long work days. Apart from plotting how create a training regime that seems to do little else than injure his own players.

Think thats a bit harsh.
Defensively England were weak - however;
- It was a superb BaaBaa's team,
- England shorn of 15 players from Sarries & Exeter. Arguably the first 4 names on the teamsheet; Farrell,Vunipola X 2, Itoje.
- Nothing to lose for the Baas, nothing to win for England

Some players were a let down - not seen Robshaw miss so many tackles before.

Think the English players who did well were- Curry, Daly.

Ashton played well in front of Jones but his same failings were there i.e. defensive positioning.

The SA tour is going to be tough. If thats a failure then calling it a crisis wouldn't be an understatement.

That has to be the end of Robshaw, he missed 6 tackles, 5 of which led directly to tries. It won't be any easier in SA. If we go with a backrow of Shields, Curry and Billy with Wilson on the bench we will be in a lot better place.

I was at a meeting with Eddie Jones recently, he was asked who is the first name on the teamsheet?

'Billy' was the one word reply.

I guess it depends MV is great in the more fluid parts of the game, however, from what I understand he's still not the best scrummager we've got

Mako is a definite starter.

May seems to be nailed on nowadays.

I don't. In fact I don't think I'm being harsh enough

Yesterday, England conceded the most points at Twickenham in 108 years

I don't care that half the team were makeweights. I cannot imagine any circumstances where New Zealand field a team with a core of experienced All Blacks balanced out by aspiring All Blacks, and have that score, or anything near it, put past them by that very same Ba Baa's team. It would simply never happen

England looked weak, and outmuscled, by a scratch team. Jones should be embarrassed and what his teams are churning out at the moment
